Great coffee, nice ambience with lots of natural lighting. My wife tried the chocolate french toast with pretzels and ice cream and loved it! I had the "The Simple" brekkie and it was eggs on toast with some tomatoes and cheese. Nothing fancy but extremely yummy.

Came here and discovered this gem after walking out of Shoya because they discriminated against us for having young children. Couldn't have made a better choice - Shimbashi has authentic, reasonably priced food with great welcoming service for about one-third the price!

Another of our stumble-upon finds. The interior is relatively simple though the artwork on the ceiling was a nice touch. Menu was very colorful and featured native meats, herbs & produce. Staff were courteous and gracious hosts. We started with a delightful sampling plate of possum, camel, emu, wallaby & kangaroo which was perfectly smoked/grilled with native plants. For mains, the saltbush lamb, a house favorite, was a standout. Loved the story behind the establishment too with their support of Missions Australia.

Had such a good time here! Went for dinner which was great and stayed late drinking some seriously yummy mojitos all night! Lively atmosphere - such a fun little find in Fitzroy. Just watch the number of cocktails you drink on a school night ;)

Came here for breakfast with a friend on Sunday morning and the place was pumping. The menu is full of delicious choices from eggs to some Turkish inspired dishes and lots of deli options. The service was impeccable and the staff were super friendly. The place is pretty big so you are bound to get a table or only have a short wait.

Spectacular Night Out! Vau d'Vile is absolutely amazing from the moment you walk in! Amazing cocktails/mocktails, great food and the shows are AMAZING!!! I had such a fun night out!! Have booked our work Christmas Party already!
