Great atmosphere, nice staff, great food. Best scallop pie I've had....
The beef & red wine pie had only 1 tiny piece of beef in the entire pie. It was 98% gravy, carrot and onion. I was genuinely confused as I've never before had a beef pie that had no beef.
Fabulous. Opera cake was wonderful. We had several breakfasts and coffees there.
There's a reason this place is an institution. Simply fantastic pies with a range of interesting local flavours, like wallaby and scallop, as well as lamb, goat and veggie options. Heaps of great options to eat in or takeaway
Amazing crossiant! Huge selection of delicious looking baked goods that we'll have to return and enjoy. Stumbled across this place and highly recommend checking it out. I can't recall a better plain crossiant. 😊👍
Everything was perfect! The kangaroo pie, the bread and butter pudding, the double espresso and their take on an almond milk chai latte! Everything was just so delicious! We will be back again!
Great pies and pastries. The scallop pie was devine. Yum
Scallop pie was fantastic, caramelised onion is a great addition to the pantry
Today I went there with my husband to have my first cafe experience after not seeing him for 14 months due to Covid travel restrictions. The waitress was a young lady that from the moment we sat she was very impatient to take the orders, the next thing she literally threw the cutlery on the table but I thought maybe they are busy and probably doesn’t mean anything, then she almost shoved the coffees on the table and there was no sign of being nice or friendly.I wanted to enjoy my experience with my partner but instead I felt being disrespected. People go out with their loved ones to make nice memories and I think sometimes people in hospitality forget their power to make someone’s day. We don’t go out to have food, we go out to have a quality time and make beautiful moments. Wish that girl knew what it meant for me and my husband sitting there. I must add that all other staff seemed to be very friendly and when I gave my feedback at reception the gentleman took it so well.
Normally you walk into a bakery and go... "I'll have that and that". Well, we had so many choices of mouth watering masterpieces that we couldn't decide. I would've just said "1of everything please" - but doubt my credit card would like it. So we grabbed a lamb and rosemary pie, some quiche and some croissants - and everything was YUM.
