I am trying to find a recipe for a popular little cake in Tassie and Victoria in the 1950's - 1980's (at least) we all called an "albert Bun". it was a small yellow domed cake with a dob of raspberry jam on top and sprinkled with sugar. Can u help?

225g Self Raising Flour 85g Butter 85g Caster Sugar 1 Egg 1 tbsp Milk 10 tsp Jam Pre-heat to 170  Mix the flour and sugar together. Add butter to flour in chunks. Gently toss to coat and then run butter into flour. Beat the egg with splash of milk. Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture and pour the liquid in. Using a rounded knife, cut the dry ingredients into the wet and gently bring the dough together.  Divide the dough into ten even pieces. Lightly roll each one in the palms of your hands into a ball and place on greased tray, spaced well apart.  Make dent in the balls with your thumb, add jam into dent as desired. Bake for 10-15 or until golden. Careful of the molten jam, it burns haha.
