Best service ever, especially from Daisy and the guy at the counter (sorry didn’t get his name). Super personable and friendly and the food was great too. The cendol was soo good. Thank you for making my brother’s birthday so special.. we’ll definitely be back! :)

Didn't plan eating here, just googled and got top reviews for the place, intrigued, stood in the queue for around 10 mins, wondering if it would satisfy the taste buds. The indoor is as cool as the entrance and the staffs were helpful to a level, they changed nasi goreng combo to indomie jumbo. And I was told it would take 20 mins to prepare, but the food arrived within 10 mins. Damn was it tasty, every single bite of it. The fried chicken was the best, and I enjoyed every bite of it, along with the yeh tarik. A must recommended place to eat with your friends and family, and I would try the set menu next time.

Went for lunch with the family on Saturday. Quick table service and food did not take long to be served. Enjoyed the the food with reasonable moderate portions. Laksa was a very good size, needed a bit more soup however wife was impressed. Would go back again to try the other dishes. Decent prices. Nice ambience and wasn't noisy.

Highly recommended this place. Such a fun atmosphere and really exciting dishes. This is a place to impress a real foodie for sure and way too many incredible dishes to try for one visit. We went mid week which meant we didn’t have to line up and got incredible service and food. Sorry we didn’t take better pictures!

Found this place via google while I'm on vacation, ordered their prawn soup noodles and I liked it. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Highly recommend the Ipor hor fun. The dish came with hainanese chicken on the side and we were amazed at how fragrant the chicken was. The fried garlic on top really took it to another level. We also ordered the crispy chicken hainanese rice but that was so-so.

Description

Ho Jiak Haymarket is Sydney’s first Malaysian Nyonya grill house and is inspired by the homestyle and street food dishes that Head Chef Junda Khoo grew up cooking with his amah in the family kitchen. Feast on thick, spicy Laksa with chewy al dente egg noodles, rated one of the best in Sydney. Or embrace the Nyonya grill with a grilled tasting platter of lamb cutlets, chicken and seafood, complete with BBQ char lines and chilli sambal sauce. The ground floor of the two-story restaurant is inspired by the street Chef Khoo grew up on in Penang, Lebuh Ah Quee. Up on the first floor, the decor is styled like his grandma’s home, a place full of love and laughter. Welcome to Amah’s Kitchen…
