Bar Wa Izakaya

One of the best japenese tapas bars I've ever been to. Nice atmosphere and the braised mushrooms with garlic butter miso was unbelievably one of best meals I've ever tasted .. so good!

Great food, however service was a bit slow it was busy and we were a walk in. Food was top notch and the guys were great.

Always such brilliant service and wonderful food! We came tonight with my elderly grandparents and the staff were so accommodating even when we had to change the order as we had ordered to much. It was the first time either of them had tried Japanese and they loved it. Thank you so much for always being an amazing establishment to visit. Highly recommend!

Could not fault a single thing.

Beautiful deck to sit back with a cold beer in your hand. This has turn out to be one of my favourite bar to enjoy.

Amazing

This place is just fantastic. Searching for a late night food fix in Hobart, I thought it would be mediocre. This place is far from that. The food was so so so much better than we thought it was going to be. Having just travelled to Japan, this is the closest I’ve got to an izakaya experience (at least in the context of the food). Would recommend this place to anyone. Super busy and deserves to be successful.

Amazing food and great service! Perfect for sharing plates so you get to try heaps of plates. Awesome drinks menu with Umeshu menu & some great cocktails which I loved. Tempura Mushrooms & Umeshu tasting plate were my favourite pics.
