Best Ramen in Hobart that I’ve tried so far, and wonderful staff. Pity they don’t serve Ramen for dinner. Cannot recommend enough 😋😁

Really enjoyed this place last night, the service the food and ambience was on point

A bit pricey but food was good!

So I had been there couple of days before. Food is ok and I really enjoyed the drinks. There are a lot of choices of beers and sake. However, the service with the Asian female waitress is awful. First, she did not even check us during the whole serving time, even we gave a gesture. And she served us a bowl of ramen without a spoon. Sure, we asked another waiter and he helped us. But seriously, she took our plates without even ask permission. We did finished but there are still some left and we would like to take it home. But since we did not even have a chance to speak to her, we just let her take all the plates. When I paid, I did complained to the supervisor and he gave us 2 vouchers with 20% discount for next meal. Thanks for your kindness but apparently we will not come back. I rated 2 stars for the food and drinks

Waiting 40 mins and kept asking to have the first dish. Although all the tables after me they already got their foods and left. Talked to the waiters they just gave me one cold dish. I had to continue asking them again to get the second one after 20 mins more. We did asked to cancel the third dish to one waiter, but another waitress came and confirm the dish will come after 10mins. We said it is fine to wait for 10 mins more. after 20mins, third dish is pan cake was not cook yet. 😓 Wasted nearly 2hrs there. The worst waiters are working in this place. The foods were not that fantastic as they look. Totally waste of time. Disappointed for the service. The guy gave us a discount but we will never come back.

I love Japanese food. I lived in Japan for a long time and I found Bar Wa Izakaya to have authentically Japanese food and atmosphere. Everything from the the ceramic tableware to the Japanese speaking staff was like being at a really cool diner in Osaka. That coupled with the amazing local Tasmanian produce (the oysters! OMG the oysters!) and Japanese beers on tap made it the favourite meal that I enjoyed in Hobart on my short stay there. There is a little outdoor area out the back to enjoy post meal drinks. I absolutely loved this place and will be my go to Japanese place in Hobart from now on.

Extremely good food. Such an interesting find in a sleepy city like Hobart. I recommend getting the sake tasting, and trying some of the Japanese veers on the menu! A must visit!

Amazing food and service, has to be one of the best places to eat in Hobart. Staff are always incredibly friendly and knowleable, food is of amazing quality and fantastic portion sizes for price.

Food is brilliant... staff are great... drink selection is massive...
