See AllSavoir Faire Shop 12 20 Park Rd 4064, Brisbane
La Dolce Vita is just about always open, and service is always friendly, if a bit rushed during busy times. The menu is short, and expensive (the norm for Park Rd). The food is fairly reliably tasty, and the coffee is decent (though you should visit Bunker Coffee down the road instead, if they're open).

We liked Alchemy. Service was good. I'm finding it harder and harder to be impressed at fine dining restaurants but this was definitely better than most I've tried.

We had a table for 4 for my anniversary, the seats are very comfortable we were attended gracefully by very pleasant knowledgeble smiling staff. But first we met the bar tender who was attentive and very creative I challenged her to create something for me and she delightfully surprised me with a unique delicious cocktail which put me in a good mood instantly. The food was delicious and well presented the portions were more than enough and there were unexpected little surprises along the meal to refresh and compliment our palate. The menu is meticulously studied and the flavours mix and match the exquisite perfumes of dishes offered . I was delightfully surprised by a Happy Birthday plate just for me made of the most representative variety of the sweet menu and so did my guests had an extra splurge in the sweets. In the high range of the money spectrum but worth every penny . For an exceptional splurge I highly recommend Bacchus. D L-S Thank you all to have made this evening so pleasant

Great service, great view and prices that are very reasonable - particularly the wine! Really enjoyed this place.
396 Milton Rd 4066, Brisbane
We went to Deer Duck Bistro last Friday. They now do a chefs menu there is a five course and a 8 course. We had been here about a year ago. Tonight the dinner and service was fantastic. We often eat out at new places and forget about deer duck. Yet again we asked ourselves why don't we come here more often. They food is as good as Urbane and Esquire and easily offering the best food this side of town. Keep up the good work!!

Among a growing contingent of French fare in Brisbane (Belle Epoque, Le Classic, La Provence, Montrachet, Piaf...) what is so special about this place that it has to be opened by Anna Bligh? (see gold plaque on front door). As with the other restaurants, noticeably Belle Epoque and Montrachet, the price is sky high. You need to book ahead at least a week to get in the door. The space is boutique (read: narrow) but very cosy and romantic. The menu was interesting. Having been at Armstrong's Seasalt the previous week, my dining partner praised the fact that there was more than 50 grams of meat on his plate. We spent $140 on 2 entrees and 2 mains and a couple of non alcohol drinks. Overall, it was good for a visit, but I was more sufficiently wowed by Montrachet.
Amazing deli range and GREAT customer service. (I believe it's under new management since the previous reviews?) This is a very cute deli and cafe. Their breakfast menu is reasonable, with some interesting menu options, and they made an awesome coffee - strong but really smooth. Finally, we had one of those "great service experiences" today at the Deli: My philosophy on great service is summed up as follows: "Anyone can give good service when things are going well. It's when things go bad that true customer service becomes evident." Today, we got our breakfast from the deli, and things didn't go all that well - both meals came out burnt (very burnt). Burnt food is a pretty basic mistake - it should never happen. To me it indicates poor quality control and lack of attention by everyone from the kitchen, to the wait staff. However (this is where the great experience kicks in): The staff handled the issue very well. They were very apologetic, fixed everything promptly, and then as a further apology, they offered us another round of coffees "on the house". Overall, I think the professional, caring and prompt response far outweighs the mistake. It's very rare for a Café in my experience to react so well. To me it's clear that they care about their customers and their reputation. Anyone can have a bad day, it's how they respond that counts! - We'll be back for sure!
