Friendly staff, modern decor with a touch of south east Asian inspired furniture, beautiful nasi lemak burger and pandan waffle. I highly recommend their coffee; natural coffee with Jersey milk. Something quite different to what I've tasted before. Finally, wash everything down with an ice teh tarik. Beautiful meal. More food pics of x23 on Instagram @shymizzy

Have to say I wish this was in Melbourne - love the Malaysian fusion brunch dishes with flavours such as pandan, apam balik and milo! Each dish was unique yet utterly delicious...salted egg pasta, nasi Lemak burger....the waffles were also perfection! Highly recommending adding this to your to go list if in Sydney

Great malaysian-western fusion food. They have a few interesting menus. Tried the chilli crab pasta and beef rendang burger. Both were tasty although with the price, I would expect a bigger portion of the pasta. Soy milk is unsweetened and tasted fresh - yum. Staffs were friendly too. The smoothies in the menu seems interesting - would have ordered it if it wasn't that chilly today. Maybe next time :)

A good little cafe. Really liked the chili crab pasta and black waffles with ice cream. Keen to try the coffee next time.

I love Asian fusion brunch and X23 did not disappoint. The salted egg yolk prawn pasta is a must order! The black squid ink linguine was deliciously immersed with the glorious salted egg yolk and I couldn't get enough of it. Also loved the delicious pandan waffles and the unique X23 red eggs with a very generous serving of sambal flavoured scrambled eggs. This is a brilliant cafe with some super inventive winning dishes!

Had the Chilli Crab Pasta, Pandan Pancakes and Mushroom toast dish, which were quite good. Service was mediocre and plates and cutlery given to us were dirty. Overall not bad, nothing special.

Okay, I was skeptical when I saw that this place was 4.9 stars, but I was wrong. The menu descriptions don’t do it justice. This place is AMAZING, I haven’t been this impressed in a long time. I got the eggs benedict and my bf got the red eggs, they were both so good. Everything was just cooked perfectly...I honestly can’t even describe it. Imagine a dish where every component was made exactly the way it should be. I can’t explain, just try it out.

The best cafe in the area. Delicious fusion Malaysian food, smooth coffee and very friendly staff. What more could you ask for? :) PS. Kaya Pandan toast is perfect.

Came around 1pm and cafe was empty. Cold brew coffee and the chilli crab pasta was definitely the best. It was not busy and store was empty. Our table was small (enough for 2 ppl) however staff didn't bother to take our dishes away (we were obviously finished). They did notice that we already finished our meal and was just enjoying our coffee. Might come back for the cold brew, however they are using Reuben hills beans and they have their own cafe.
