Coffee is good. Just at that time it was vr bysy & ataff did few mistakes for the orders for few customers
Ordered 2 waffles, 1x plain and 1x yoghurt brekky. Eventually waited for at least 30 mins for the plain waffle to come and we ended up cancelling the other order. DO NOT recommend anyone to come here. Few customers coming in complaining as well.
Coffee is good, hot chocolate could be better. Prices are very reasonable though they changed the prices on the menu apparently a day ago by 10% for NY holiday Service could be a little fast though as I saw a few customers cancelling their orders coz the wait time for a plain waffle was too long
10 minute wait for take away coffee then it was luke warm. Two days in a row! Shame on me for repeating the mistake. Staff not friendly, seem inexperienced. Also, over priced. Avoid
The best chocolate milkshake I have had for 30 years. The waffles were excellent - try chocolate waffle with icecream and caramel sauce for a real treat. Will visit again when next in Katoomba
The menu says seasonal fruit waffle with maple syrup. They are doing takeaways only for less than 4 patrons. So I found out later after pouring on my waffles that the syrup was sugar syrup. Didn’t compliment the doughy tasteless waffle in any way. Super disappointed in the morning! Smoothie was with ice cream and sugar no honey, as said on the menu it should have had yougurt and honey.
Yay waffles for breakfast/lunch/snack! Best coffee in Katoomba is also an added bonus. Support the locals! Locally owned and run with a touch of attitude (it's probably from the excellent coffee and enormous pots of tea), this place does savory and sweet waffles. It may do other stuff, but why would you? The same of waffles is good, with the only thing missing being the traditional American combo of fried chicken and waffles. Servings good, though you may need to ask for more maple syrup. The waffles can be a little variable and doughy unfortunately - not as crisp as you'd always hope for a place that specializes in them. Still, a great spot for breakfast or lunch on a Blue Mountains trip, and waaaay more personality than most of the other cookie cutter "look-here's-a-fried-thing-with-a-side-salad" small town Australia fare on offer in the main street of Katoomba.
Great little place...you need to try the waffles...see photo....
Ordered the vegetarian huevos rancheros, that tasted really bad. Salsa had not taste at all, veggies, beans seemed like straight out of a can, came with half boiled potato without any seasoning, not something I quite expected from a cafe with such good reviews. Service was no bad but left disappointed because of the food.
Super friendly, super hip cafe featuring tasty coffee to boot. The symbol for NanoWriMo on the shop sign was not lost on me although it took some figuring. Writing and coffee are a match made in Katoomba, and elsewhere on raining days, and quiet days. Love the coffee culture and this place embodies everything that's good about it. I don't know? The cosy space, the wooden framed windows, the tables sprawling on to the high street? Takes a certain talent to pull this sort of thing together. Hard work no doubt but aspirational. It's a big call but the best coffee I've had this far into my Blue Mountains arabica experience. Cool name, also.
