Awesome food and lovely atmosphere. Had the Karaage Chicken and it's the best I've had in the mountains.

You HAVE to go here! Amazing food from a good old fashioned family run restaurant. The nougat ice cream dessert is sooo good!

The food was delicious but I especially loved the retro floral frocks on the waitresses and the wonderful art deco space it is in.

The best cup cakes you could possibly eat. Cosy, warm and welcoming staff. Great for breaky, snacks right in the main street of Katoomba next the Carrington Hotel.

Amazing transformation of a run down historic building into what might be the best craft brewery in the southern hemisphere. Take your time and work your way through the many brews on tap and grab a burger on the way. I tried the Pale Ale (great depth and malt/hop balance), the JP1 (juicy fruit over hoppy pale ale, a revelation) and the Kettle Sour (made with a lazy 100kg of guava giving it a tangy bite that really grew on me as I worked through my southern fried chicken burger). My new local!

This is our local for working breakfasts - open early enough to allow a full day at the office with great coffee and fast service - booths lend themselves more to meetings than tables. Nice and toasty on those cold mornings - great staff.

Visited on a cold and wet weekend when the cafe was choc full of happy clientele. My wife and I both chose their Crispy Lamb salad, which was far better than we ever expected, and at less than $20 each was very moderately priced. Coffees were in the $4 range, which is not outrageous -- as some previous (and anonymous) customers complained about. I loved the old-world Victorian decor with the gilt-framed paintings and the red colored walls. And I told the proprietor that it looked Russian to my eyes. To summaraize, it is a lovely cafe, the boss and the Scottish lass who was waitressing were both super-helpful, charming and efficient. I give it two thumbs-up, and 5 stars. I'm a foodie, and I love my food, especially when it is reasonably-priced. We paid for our meal and were not recompensed in any way for writing this review and taking the photos. Diane is a journalist and I am a photographer, so what better way for us to show our appreciation!
Awesome cute cafe!! A must see!!!
