Mlc Centre 19 - 29 Martin Pl 2000, Sydney
Sadly this is the only score I can give this. I ordered the cauliflower soup off the vegan menu and they gave me the cauliflower soup off the main menu. I don’t eat meat, or fish, and haven’t for years however tonight I did because they didn’t bring the right food and I didn’t realise until I’d eaten some seafood (it didn’t look like it so didn’t realise). They were very apologetic but it did happen. I’m also allergic to shellfish so on the way home was pretty asthmatic and had to get home quick for my asthma sprays and some antihistamines. Generally not impressed. In the restaurant I didn’t make a huge deal about it because it was my husband’s Birthday and we wanted to have a nice time. However my values were compromised and I’m really unimpressed about that.
The view on it's own is 5 stars, and you even see complacency in restaurants when the location is this good, people will visit just for the view. But not here... the food is best in class. A must if you're visiting Sydney.
With a breathtaking view of the Sydney Harbour available to all patrons of Cafe Sydney, with a beautiful breakfast and lunch dining area that transforms into a vibrant bar, its staff are impeccable and the place is simply a hidden gem of a high calibre. The drinks are moderately pricey, but for an establishment like this, its fairly worth it.

Great view, good food, friendly staff.
Consistently good
Such a beautiful restuarant with the best view in Sydney. Loved the three course menu. The service is amazing and they see that you are attended to the best of their ability.
A wonderful place to dine with great views fine food & excellent service
Beautiful location in historic building, fantastic food and service
I'd describe my first experience with Cafe Sydney as good - not amazing, but solidly good. The mains consisted of one veggie (the obligatory risotto), one chicken, one steak and 4-5 fish options. I suppose it isn't totally surprising here in Sydney. I had the steak which, truth be told, was a lovely piece of meat - but it was just a nice bit of steak. I guess I was hoping for a slightly more adventurous menu. Otherwise, it has an amazing view, a good wine list and equally good service. Truth be told, you're unlikely to walk out with a bad experience - just don't expect it to rock your world.
