One of the best views of Sydney Harbour from a traditional Rocks pub. The roof top bar is a must. The entire hotel has been beautifully restored/preserved. The food is ok to average.

Happy to take your money for lunch but won't serve you any drinks after a couple of hours of enjoying ourselves.

We had our sons birthday here with a group of friends for Sunday lunch. Every staff member and manager was so fantastic - fabulous lunch, great food, beautiful view and outstanding service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and made it a special day for him ! Will definitely cone back and highly recommend The Glenmore !

We went to the Glenmore hotel for pre-dinner drinks. Staff were awesome, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great drinks, food. View amazing. Inside music was too loud to talk but plenty of seats outside.

Great food menu, we went for birth day function on St Patrick day so we got lucky to see some performance too. It was wonderful experience.

Always like this pub, good selection of beers, nice food similar price Range of all others pubs. They do live music on the rooftop that is the highlight of the pub, you get a great view and is perfect in summer. If you're looking for a nice place to have a drink with friends or even with your partner, this is a good one.

Long established Sydney watering hole. Rooftop bar with great views overlooking the Opera House with live, chilled-out music on the Sunday afternoon I went. Very covid safe if that's your thing. Cold misters blowing to keep the punters cool, Cold beer, good service, reasonable food and a great Sydney vibe for people of all ages. Love it.

Description

The Glenmore Hotel was built by Brewers Tooth & Co in 1921 and has been an Aussie icon ever since. It is one of the last surviving pre- Harbour Bridge buildings on Cumberland Street, north of the Cahill Expressway. The site is known to have been occupied from the early years of 1800, although it is likely that, like the other ridges of The Rocks, it was occupied by the encampment of settlers in the first weeks of the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788. With its colonial old English charm and character, The Glenmore has been a popular watering hole, which has survived depressions, wars and plagues. This hidden gem in The Rocks was starting to show her age and in early 2012 it was closed for refurbishment for 9 months of loving restoration. The building itself is heritage listed for it’s traditional Rocks pub allure.
