That’s definitely one of my favourite spots in Sydney. Despite the best location in the Rocks and awesome harbour view in the roof top, the Pub is both funky and elegant, full of small stylish cabinets for big and small groups, which makes the atmosphere special! Love the lunch time, the bottomless parties and steak deals , all the snacks are amazing (can’t forget the halloumi and the squid) Martini espresso is worth it!) Book the roof top.

Good Evening, I had a booking on the rooftop with a girlfriend on Saturday. Not only do you have amazing views and fantastic food the standout for me was your staff. The girl who looked after us was fantastic. Everyone was fantastic and made our visit a very enjoyable occasion. Well done Glenmore. You will now be my fave place to visit when in Sydney. Thanks Sharron Sent from my iPad

Fantastic friendly efficient service. Good Friday lunch, ran out of squid. Beer battered Fish & chips nice, however cold. This would have been sensational. Sydney Oysters for $5 each These were delicious, although the smallest I have ever seen!!

Excellent view of Circular Quay and Opera House. One of the hidden jewels in The Rocks area. Hotel has multi floor sitting areas and ecllent view from the roof top. Food was very ordinary (actually below average) with menu items of any regular pub. Food is bit pricey to in comparison to similar style bars. View is what you go for there.

Description

The Glenmore Hotel was built by Brewers Tooth & Co in 1921 and has been an Aussie icon ever since. It is one of the last surviving pre- Harbour Bridge buildings on Cumberland Street, north of the Cahill Expressway. The site is known to have been occupied from the early years of 1800, although it is likely that, like the other ridges of The Rocks, it was occupied by the encampment of settlers in the first weeks of the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788. With its colonial old English charm and character, The Glenmore has been a popular watering hole, which has survived depressions, wars and plagues. This hidden gem in The Rocks was starting to show her age and in early 2012 it was closed for refurbishment for 9 months of loving restoration. The building itself is heritage listed for it’s traditional Rocks pub allure.
