U R thinking about fresh seafood, do not hesitate to try there. Half dozen of the fresh oyster was $18. Do not miss fresh~

If you are looking for a low cost ,traditional, quality breakfast then Mures' Lower Deck is the place in Hobart. The service is outstanding along with the decor and the general ambience of the surroundings. It is a shame that they don't open until 8:00 pm of a morning to cater for folk that have a full day and want an early start. However, this is of minor concern given the quality of the restaurant.

Really nice fish n chips and chowder!! We were there 4x through out our trip. Yummy ice cream too. We tried Mako fish outside just to see the difference and definitely regretted it. A must go more than once.

My mate James Jon attorney at law is appalled at the lack of coat stands in this establishment however really enjoyed the flavour in the hot chocolate. On a side note he has requested the chocolate sprinkled over the hot chocolate is actually sprinkled inside the cup - you will be receiving a bill for his dry cleaning.

Jill & George Mure opened Tasmania's first licensed seafood restaurant, Mures Fish House, in 1973 in Hobart. When they struggled to source quality, fresh, local seafood, George went fishing. More than 40 years on, now owned by Will & Jude Mure, Mures remains a favourite of locals and visitors alike, located in Hobart's working fishing port at Victoria Dock. Mures' philosophy of fresh Australian seafood, sourced from sustainably managed fisheries still rings true from the ocean to the plate. At Lower Deck you can enjoy a wide variety of seafood from the licensed Bistro, including Mures' own line caught blue eye trevalla, as you take in the sights and sounds of the waterfront. Start the day off right with breakfast by the docks, served daily from 7am. Check out the vast array of Australian seafood at the Fishmongers including rock lobster, salmon, scallops and mussels, where you can order freshly shucked Tasmanian oysters from the Oyster Bar. Mures' own range of gourmet seafood products, Tasmanian wines, cider and recipe books are also available. Finish off with a local roasted coffee or choose from 32 flavours of ice cream at the Cafe.
