Oysters are amazingly creamy, my favourite! Fresh Prawns with lemon were beautiful! Highly recommend Mussel pot too! The grilled fish i chose wasn't good, i think because it was a cheap one. Super busy place.

We dropped in here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was packed and a cooked breakfast was a 40 minute wait. We then just went to the coffee bar section and got some coffee , a hot chocolate and some toasted banana bread. We sat outside in the sunshine on the wharf. The view and ambience was truly lovely. Parking is right out the front and we had no issues with getting a park. Would recommend a visit to this restaurant. Central, clean and good food.

Big place with lots of tourists! It was a beautiful night so we sat outdoors. The service from the busy wait staff was exceptional. Good clean up and delivery. They work so hard! The oysters, lobster and seafood basket were good, not amazing but it’s take away after all. But the fish was fresh and not oily. The salad was a surprise hit and you can’t beat the authenticity of the view next to fishing boats. Bonus that they have an ice cream shop in the venue!

Great seafood every time. We ordered the fish and chips, and the crumbed scallops and chips. Can’t beat fresh Tasmanian scallops! Hard to get a table during busy periods, especially inside, but worth the wait if you’re not in too much of a hurry.

Dined here several times last August 2019 Traditional fish and chips but yummy! Affordable selections as well. I love their drinks!

A good place to have your lunch and dinner. The price looks reasonable. It provides free ice, room or sparkling water.

The cafe have the best Caramel Slice I have ever hunted in my life. So rich and yummy, thick serving with crunchy coconut base. Tiramisu is disappointing. Lots of ice cream flavor selections -average. Coffee is standard. Ok seafood - worth the money. Fresh, generous serving. Fried foods not too oily. Very very friendly and attentive staff. Would be back here again. Sit outside, such a nice view, watchout for the pesky seagulls tho.

Description

Jill & George Mure opened Tasmania's first licensed seafood restaurant, Mures Fish House, in 1973 in Hobart. When they struggled to source quality, fresh, local seafood, George went fishing. More than 40 years on, now owned by Will & Jude Mure, Mures remains a favourite of locals and visitors alike, located in Hobart's working fishing port at Victoria Dock. Mures' philosophy of fresh Australian seafood, sourced from sustainably managed fisheries still rings true from the ocean to the plate. At Lower Deck you can enjoy a wide variety of seafood from the licensed Bistro, including Mures' own line caught blue eye trevalla, as you take in the sights and sounds of the waterfront. Start the day off right with breakfast by the docks, served daily from 7am. Check out the vast array of Australian seafood at the Fishmongers including rock lobster, salmon, scallops and mussels, where you can order freshly shucked Tasmanian oysters from the Oyster Bar. Mures' own range of gourmet seafood products, Tasmanian wines, cider and recipe books are also available. Finish off with a local roasted coffee or choose from 32 flavours of ice cream at the Cafe.
