Came here for breakfast after ready the great reviews of the food. The ordering was quick and easy and the food came out in no time. The soya bean milk was fresh and tasted so good. The sweet silken tofu was still was and paired with the sweet syrup it was just so delicious. I also had the sticky rice and fried dough roll/wrap with pork floss with was also delicious.
Came here after seeing the video on Goldthread on YouTube. Check out the interview before coming, it'll really enliven and enhance the experience knowing where all the food is coming from. Really filling and tasty breakfast, reminds me of China in vibe, ambiance and taste. Food comes out super fast and the staff are very polite. Standouts were 油条 (Chinese donut) and 粥 (congee). Taiwanese congee is worth trying, rather than the conventional century egg pork mince congee. From humble origins to Sydney institution, strongly recommended.
The spicy beef sirloin noodles can rival Taipei Sheraton Hotel’s. Friendly waitress and fast service. No frills but ok. Nice quiet eatery to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Chinatown.
Authentic Taiwanese street food in the hustle and bustle of Sydney. Food is good and served really quick! Their online ordering isn’t foolproof though. Our second batch order didn’t make it to their queue so we had to call that out, to which the staff rectified immediately.
Not too bad, the Bose was very friendly. A bit expensive for food among we had. In general I will recommend this restaurant if you love Taiwanese food.
Great food and fast service. Ordering and paying using the QR code was simple and efficient. Our plates came out quite quickly even though they were made to order. I particularly recommend the soy braised eggplant, slightly sticky and bursting with flavour. The pork and thousand year egg congee and the kung pao chicken are also a winner. The food was good enough for someone to ask us what we ordered!
Delicious Taiwanese snacks in the heart of Sydney city. The owner/manager is the third generation of this place (Mother Chu is his grandma) was very friendly and polite. Even though he was quite busy with taking orders, cooking in the kitchen and serving food to customers, he didn’t forget to come say hello and ask about the food. 5 stars for service obviously! I was amazed with all of the items, especially the pancakes, dumplings and noodles - great taste and quite unique. All of their foods are generously portioned without compromising the flavours. The pork rice was flavourful and packed with spices. Lovely experience overall and had come back several times for more. Thank you 😊 Note there is a 1.5% surcharge for card payments. P.s: I had the chances to try some of their vegetarian dishes and they were good as well. Especially the vegetarian stir fried noodles and mapo tofu.
It's a amazing Taiwanese place with amazing food the staff is friendly and the service is fast when I was there there were about 20 people and I got my food very quick. If you go get the sour plum drink and the rice rolls with pork floss those are so good there is like a thousand different options on the menu so there's something for everyone
This place is an institution! Been around for decades! Still same stuff from when I was back at uni over 2 decades ago. Prices still affordable, decor much nicer now and more spacious. Can't wait to come back for more!
