Mr. Wong
4.4
/ 2057

3 Bridge Lane 2000, Sydney

Excellent service - the place is at full capacity and runs like clockwork. Wonderful staff and decor transports u to another era. Food is O.K. Peking duck was a slight disappointment - more of a normal roast duck sliced Peking style. Skin wasn't very crispy. Wouldnt order it again. The meat was somewhat tasteless. Their custom duck oven is more for roast Chinese rather than for Peking style duck. Yum cha steamed sampler - scallops and prawn and sui leung baw were similar to what is available at Din Tai Fung and Chinatown. The steamed mushroom dumpling was delicious. Fresh veges were perfectly cooked - but who goes there for that??? Fried icecream was OK. Tables are way too small so be careful if u order too many things.

Haymarket Chinese Restaurant
3.8
/ 1271

355 Sussex St Haymarket 2000, Sydney

Been eating here since 2001. Excellent yum char, best in area. 4 dishes of yum char, feeds 2, $36.

China Doll
4.4
/ 674

4/6 Cowper Wharf Road Woolloomooloo 2011, Sydney

I really like the food at China Doll, and love Woolloomooloo as a spot for dinner! The salt and pepper prawns are amazing, the the stir fried eggplant is good too. The sago pudding is also really good and surprisingly light. The service is pretty slow because they have too many people managing each table, and the beer list is a little light. Overall definitely worth a visit!

Din Tai Fung World Square Restaurant
4.1
/ 803

Latitude Tower World Square 644 George St Level 1, Shop 11.04 2000, Sydney

After discovering Din Tai Fung in Sydney on a previous trip, I went to the single location in the USA - Arcadia. And while delicious, the ones in Sydney are fantastic. So much so, I am now returning with my wife and daughter. Highly recommend the pork dumplings, bacon and greenbeans and the veggie rice.

Spice Temple
4.2
/ 579

City Mutual Building 10 Bligh St 2000, Sydney

Decor is a little bit fancy-Thai-brothel, but food is great. Genuinely spicy. Plates are for sharing so value is OK too. Go with a group.

Zilver Restaurant
3.7
/ 690

Level G, 477 Pitt Street Haymarket 2000, Sydney

Went for yum cha, it was great.

Ipoh town On York
4.0
/ 446

83 York St 2000, Sydney

I got a takeaway Beef Rendang one morning, before they had started serving food (so I was obviously happy with the service after they accommodated my request). The rendang was decent. Not the best I've ever had, but pretty good. From the outside the decor looks like any food court-style place. Not really where you'd go for fine dining, but it did look nice and clean.

Neptune Palace Restaurant
4.3
/ 311

Gateway Building Level 1 Pitt St Entrance Cnr of Pitt & Alfred St, Circular Quay 2000, Sydney

The food was wonderful and quick to come out. There was plenty of food, and the staff were attentive and prompt for all our needs. The restaurant was nice, but seemed a little dodgy when you walk in the door and there's no-one to greet you until you walk to the upstairs section of the restaurant. Glad we went, was a wonderful experience.

The Dolar Shop
4.6
/ 246

9-13 Hay St Shop 6. 1909 Dining Precinct, level 3, Market City Shopping Centre, Haymarket 2000, Sydney

One of the best hot pot in the city. Decor is elegant, the service is on point, really attentive. Great selection of sauces and broth.

Chinatown Noodle Restaurant
4.0
/ 367

77 Bathurst St 2000, Sydney

Authentic Northern Chinese. Go here if you want the real thing.

China Lane
4.3
/ 288

2 Angel Pl 2000, Sydney

The food was pretty good western-fusion Chinese. The portion sizes varied a lot, or then the menu was unclear on what was an appetizer and what was a main course. The highlight of the meal was the mah jong chocolate desserts.
