Food was great, The manager was really nice and understanding
We went for 2 courses at the Grill downstairs as more casual, the duck pasta and swordfish for starters, followed by porterhouse and eye fillets steaks were cooked perfectly. Overall was good food and service.
Went there for a recent celebration ,the food was excellent with service great
Amazing food, beautiful decor, and incredible service. We had our table upstairs and it was like walking into last century Italy. A totally memorable experience made even better by the amazingly friendly staff, who worked to make us feel so at home. Will be back very soon! Thank you so much for a great Christmas eve dinner!
Best place to eat in Melbourne. The staff are absolutely lovely, kind and very flexiable. The food is fantastic. What ever you order, make sure to get the souffle. It's fabulously light, fluffy and delightfully warm.
Unfortunately it has lost it compared to the silver service from a bygone era. Firstly, the dress code has been lowered. Sounds snobby, but this used to be a place to dress up for. Secondly, most of the staff seemed disinterested. Certainly there to serve, but apart from one happy camper, the others were going through the motions. The food, well, unbelievably overpriced for the quality received. The best parts were the Apoetisers and the Bread. The prawn risotto was below average and the venison was nice but nothing great. The Soufflé for desert was nice. After three times dining upstairs, that will be it. I’d rather go down to Pellegrinis for an outstanding pasta.
Great service with very attentive staff. Pasta can improve a little
Wonderful food, attentive and welcoming service. They catered for our desire to try a very regional dish that none of us heard if before by adjusting the portion size and making it available for our table of four to share. Not many restaurants are so accommodating!
Best Food we ever had after Lockdown .They should have one in sydney too
Cellar bar - loved it!!! The atmosphere, pinot and lasagne. We enjoyed the great service and ambience, as Melbourne re awakens its cultural soul again.
