For full blog post and photos, go to my blog Weekend Food Escapes I have many friends or co-workers who love dumplings. From time to time, I have dumpling dates with my friends. It's just hard to find the time - I head to Din Tai Fung at Gateway for one of my dumpling dates. From the few reviews I've read, this particular Din Tai Fung has lower ratings than other venues. Overall, I had a pleasant meal at Din Tai Fung at Gateway. The atmosphere is affected by it being in the food court but it's a good way to get a quick bite to eat. The flavours are unbeatable and I'll be back even if it's not as nice as other venues in decore. The staff are also a bit slower to clean up tables but if you get there early then it's not an issue.
Really good food here great variety and an assortment of flavours! Also very reasonably priced.
All food now served in cardboard take away containers even though pictures above counter show food in proper bowls. Had beef noodle soup. Not temp hot and noodles very soggy. Meat was a bit tough. It is not as good as other DTF places in the city but charge the same prices.
Tasty food in reasonable prices.
Chinese restaurant run by Thai people.. Slow slow slow service, small portion of food. Don't waste your time n money.
I can't eat shiao long bao from anywhere else now. Thanks a lot, Din Tai Fung.
Vege dumplings here will certainly satisfy that craving, but they're nothing that spectacular. Peanut noodles smelt better than they tasted. Vegetarian buns were, similarly, objectively quite average compared to the competition, but still decent. Would return again for sure.
Very nice food dumpling and crumbled chicken is awesome
Same menu here as in LA, same quality but smaller size compared to LA. Still it's nice to get a taste of home while away from home.
Ordered fried rice and xiao long bao takeaway. Was told, 15 min wait. After 30 mins, still not ready yet. Saw several people get served what I ordered while I was waiting. Had to ask for a refund on the xiao long bao, and take my now cold fried rice. For sure, I won't be back.
