Ludlow is pretty standard when it comes to a pub/bar establishment. Their food and prices are similar to any other place along the river. Great place to enjoy the view/sun on a summer day. The staff are very friendly and easy to chat with.

The food, service and atmosphere is just lovely. My family and I have been to this restaurant 3 times, and the standards are still high. Absolutely love it.

The best fried dumplings I have ever tasted!! 10 Pork and Dill...with sauce just amazing!! There is a queue, and I had to share a table to get a look in...but the service was fast, fresh and completely awesome!! Prices are reasonable, and judging by single people downing two serves of fried and boiled dumplings melbournites agree this is the best dumpling house in the city except for maybe the flower drum!! It is in a little arcade..surrounded by competition, but the queues and the food stand out!!!

More a place for a group of friends than for a romantic date this place offers good value & great food without the standard gimmicks.

You'd be silly to pass it up! Monk is up there with the best 3 coffee houses in Melbourne! The Soy Chai is amazing and their Vegan carrot cake is addictive. Their Vegan and Raw food specialties are out of this world and where they truly shine at dinner is in the desserts. They are certainly different than your run-of-the-mill cafe in Melbourne as they don't serve meat- but who cares? Their AVO on Toast, Granola, Pancakes, Ricotta Hotcakes, Veggie Stews and soups will fill you up, give you awesome flavour and satiate you for a long day. The staff are very friendly and you feel lifted when you leave. I reckon that it is a must for cafe lovers in Melbourne. Highly Recommended!!!

Think gourmet meals and you'll be on the right track for this place. The atmosphere was lovely and the service beyond exceptional. While the food was delicious, if you're looking for a hearty meal, I'd suggest you go somewhere else. However, if fine dining is what you're after, this place will not disappoint. Would be more than happy to go back again!

the 'spotty' has changed remarkably in the last couple of years after a major renovation, unfortunately i never got to experience the spotty of old, but i can definitely say that the current spotty is a wonderful pub. food is great and excellent value (large meals!) and the drinks selection is more than adequate with reasonable prices. a great place for a group or family dinner

The Pork Belly Slider is one of the best things you can eat in Melbourne. The drinks are supreme and staff are lovely.
Food was very good, prices reasonable, service not bad. An amazing cold starter (which sounds horrible) spinach and sesame seeds drizzled with a kind of light soy/teriyaki sauce. Amazing! Shaded from the heat on a hot day with great views of fed square and Melbourne sky line. I'll be back to this place again.
