Wonderful meal. So happy๏ผ
Amazing service and wine
The reviews are true. It is one of the all time greats. Excellent service, wine and food. The starters are out of this world. The fried bread with anchovies and pickles is so damn good. Those scallops bring it home 4x over. I'll be back many a time. Thanks again
Fine dining with mighty fine and dedicated service ๐๐๐๐๐
One the best restaurants Iโve ever eaten at. Experience was incredible, staff amazing, food extraordinary & delicious wines. Donโt walk, run!
We hosted a small engagement party of 20 (including 5 kids) in the private cellar downstairs. We absolutely loved the food and the service was impeccable. I believe the gentleman looking after us was named Ryan, he was so attentive. Glasses always filled and he did an amazing job servicing the group on his own. He was also so great to the kids, getting them extra bread when asked and giving them paper and pencils to draw. Highly recommend and would most definitely book again. Thanks to all the team!
My favorite place in Melbourne!!! Delicious food, wine and best customer service. Must go if you are in Melbourne.
Great drink selection, the atmosphere is refined while still being relaxed and cozy, amazing service AND food. The menu is the perfect size to be able to do everything to a good standard. Itโs not often you find a place that can do everything even passably well and theyโve got it figured out.
I was so excited to dine here as I had read so many good reviews. I came here with my hubby to enjoy a nice night out for my birthday. However I left disappointed. Whilst most of the food was very good ( the Rib Eye and Cauliflower Salad were both excellent) the Fried Potatoes were overcooked and oily and dense on the inside. They were so bad, I sent them back. When the second plate came out it was only marginally better. Whilst I understand that these things happen, it was the service that really bothered me. The staff were just not very friendly. When we arrived no one acknowledged or welcomed us for a good few minutes, even though they were walking by doing other things, a simple hello and smile would have been nice. In fact we barely got a smile all night.. When I sent the fried potatoes back, there was no apology or anything. They just didnt seem to care. And that's what was most disappointing.
I have been to the Carlton Wine Room multiple times and will continue to come here and bring new friends and family with me. Each time I come it has never failed to disappoint me and the waiters have extensive knowledge about the wines and food that is served. My favourite dish is the Scallop Tostadas which is a must for me every time I come here. I have not had one meal item that I disliked and am thoroughly impressed by the quality of food and the plating of dishes. I am a pescatarian and there are so many seafood options and even vegetarian dishes.
