Beatrix is a cute & cozy cafe with a nice atmosphere. It's a nice place to stop for something sweet & a coffee but if you want a hearty breakfast I wouldn't bother. The coffee is excellent, the cakes & baked goods are great. The breakfast/lunch menu is limited so you'd expect the food to be better. The Bea-L-T on gluten free bread I had was very average & unsatisfying for a questionably high price. The staff are nice but service is slow & they aren't very specific about the gluten free options. I would go back for sure but not for brunch, there are so many better options in North Melbourne for that.

I absolutely love this place. The food is divine and very reasonably priced. You can have a great selection with the tapas plates. The tempura bugs with chilli spice are extraordinary

This place is amazing. Friendly, accomidating owner and an atmosphere to match. Most of the food is served comunal style with everyone dipping in with fingers, so come with people you're comfortable getting messy around. Delicious lamb. You won't be dissapointed. Bookings are essential (even on weeknights), but usually available on short notice.

Great price, the Teriyaki Chicken dish was like $6-$7. Food feels fresh and typically comes out right after you pay. Highly Recommended for a good, cheap lunch

This is my favourite place for coffee early in the morning right before going to work. The breakfast is really deli.

Simply superb! Great food, lovely staff, reasonable prices and a wonderful energy. We'll be back for more smoked goodness, pie and moonshine.

Amazing. Like some kind of USA Hamptons tennis country club, with fake grass and kookily dressed staff. Cocktails seem to be the speciality although the Mojoto I got looked fabulous, certainly wasn't as good as many other places. Saturday night sees the place full of a quite a nice, but slightly busy and posy crowd, apparently much quieter and better through the week. Haven't tried the food but have been told the cupcakes and food menu is fab.

The double rooms here are perfect for a couple on a budget that enjoys walking around the city and returning to city accomodation
We sat next to a lovely Italian couple who guided us through the menu, and raved about the quality and authenticity. A great evening, with very reasonable prices.
