Level G, 477 Pitt Street Haymarket 2000, Sydney
Food was tasty and they have a pretty decent selection. Difficult if you are an English-only speaker. Price was reasonable for a big group though a little on the higher side. Well presented and easy to find.
First visit to Zilver and enjoyed the atmos and food. Went with a friend at around 1pm on a Friday and it wasn’t too busy - we were sat immediately and all tables had quite a bit of space between them. The dumplings we ordered were tasty, the fried squid was a little cold as was the bbq red pork but still tasted good. Efficient service by staff. Zilver is located on level one of 477 Pitt St, there is limited street parking available but the Capital Theatre car park is located across the road on Campbell Street.
To class restaurant to class food with a political communitarian group of people, very convivial occasion.
Food is very tasty. We love the dumplings and dessert there. However, they don’t look like have enough people to serve everyone. Usually in yumcha place, waitresses come up to us and introduce the food, but in Zilber we needed to call someone over every time and ask what they have on their cart.
The best place for yum cha my family have had! Went on a weekday about 12.20pm. Had a long queue but it did move quickly. Was served immediately when seated. The food is top notch. Ordered a variety of dim sum and hands down the best compared to other places. The Char Siew Pau, Egg Tart, Har Cheong Fun, Siu Mai is really good. Happy with the customer service. Staff are attentive in replenishing tea and removing plates. The manager Otto was really helpful as well. Will definitely go back to this place as we had such a great experience!
Zilver is a modern feeling place. Freshly prepared yum char items with lots of variety are wheeled around promptly. Somewhere to return to frequently. One downside. The handbasin in the ladies toilets leaks water all over ones clothes. Not a good look.
Average yum cha. Service is great. Food tastes ok but nothing impressive. We two spent $70 which looks fair .
Great for yum cha
Was looking forward to a nice family lunch, only to be greeted by a rude manager. I brush this off cause I didn’t want to ruin our outing and just wanted to have a decent feed. Food was very bland and the dumpling had a very mushy filling, felt like I was eating baby food. Over all the food wasn’t that great at all. There are lots of better yum cha place in town. I would never again come back to this awful place of a so called restaurant. Service wise the manager and cashier lady was very rude and arrogant. I called up 2-3wks prior asking for information on voucher use and was told I could use as much voucher as possible for each person use per day. But when we went to pay only to be spoken to by a rude and unhappy cashier, like we wasting her time and she didn’t want to bother with us. The cart ladies were very nice and friendly unlike the managers and cashier lady. So if this is the type of restaurant you want to go by all means go ahead , but for me and my family this will be the last.
Best yum cha in Sydney. Nice tea, nice atmosphere, good service, a great selection of dim sums. The BBQ Char Shew Pork pastry is phenomenal. Been here three times and enjoyed every single one of them.
