Great food. Served quick. Amazing flavours

Grabbed a mixed vegetable curry for takeaway, and it was exactly what I was looking for - a good mix of vegetables. Level of spiciness was just what I asked for and the curry was delicious. Price was reasonable.

My Hobart friends have spoken highly of Soupstop so was pleased to buy lunch here this trip. We all chose different dishes and loved them. Well presented, delicious food. Subtle flavours. My friends had a soup and several of the ‘light bites’. I had two curries with rice and naan and a mango lassi. The service was excellent too, and the owner was a particularly warm and pleasant man which added to the experience. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable hospitality and amazing food... Went there everyday of our trip except when they were closed on Sunday...

The best Indian food I had in Tasmania and will definitely recommend anyone visiting Hobart to visit the place for lovely home like food. Will definitely visit again.

Good value meal for vegan/vegetarian. Had 2 curries, rice and naan. They tasted authentic and it was nice to have a vegan garlic naan. The husband/wife duo who run the restaurant are very friendly and were happy to make modifications for us.

A little gem, this Indian restaurant must be one of the very few I have been to globally, which doesnt have qualms in serving non-commercial kind of food. Meaning, as you would ask your mom to cook at home, similarly you'd do here as if you were home. For people who would like to get the true taste of Indian home made food or Indians who have been travelling too long and want to give a break to their tummies. Gurbani in the background was icing on the cake that night when my wife and I seated ourselves and had a quite dinner in this beautiful place. Will go there everytime I visit Tassie!

We ate a hearty (vegetarian only) lunch with a mix of Indian street food and more traditional dishes. The atmosphere is homey, and the food was delicious; we were so full that we ended up taking the dessert away to eat later! I am sure the soups are tasty, but the stuffed parathas, pani-puris and samosas are too good to miss. The seating in the restaurant is limited, so I suspect that the take away service is very popular. A real find!

The food is great. What makes this place better is the warm reception from the staff. Extremely sweet and accommodating to all needs. As a South Indian, I can assure that their South Indian food is excellently tempered and cooked to perfection. This place is a haven for people craving Indian food and is a must go, if in Hobart.
