Such a beautiful dining place to have some ramen. Sister restaurant to Ippudo, Gogyo's speciality is their Kogashi ramen which is charred/burnt (black broth), they offer it in either Shoyu or Miso based soup, I opted for the Shoyu and whilst it was delicious, if you're a fan of traditional ramen, this may not be for you. I, myself felt like it was more of an acquired taste. My partner had the Tonkotsu Modern and the spicy Miso paste have the dish a nice kick. I would love to come back and try their other ramen and entrees. Service was attentive and atmosphere is what you would expect of that in a classier restaurant, not a ramen joint! Pricing was actually quite good too, around $18-$19 for a bowl of ramen that would easily fill your belly. Would definitely return.

Nothing special. I was bit disappointed with Ramen. I think other ramen restaurants are better. The service was very slow. All staffs are kinda lost. I went there with booking. No reason to be waiting on the queue. In my opinion, it is not worth it.

Probabaly top 5 ramen shops in Sydney for me. The burnt soy and miso ramen adds a whole level of complexity. I know it is a sister restaurant under the Ippudo group but I dont think I'll go to Ippudo for ramen again given that Gogyo exist.

We came to Gokyo recently and really enjoyed our time. It has a relatively unassuming street presence (we walked past it and missed it when we were trying to find the entrance). The interior is clean and has modern Japanese vibes - concrete, pale woods, etc. Bookings are 90 minutes which was fine for us - attentive waitstaff took our orders soon after sitting down and food didn't take long to come out from the kitchen. The pace wasn't rushed either - just right I think. There's a choice of about eight or so ramen, each offering a delicious take - different broth, toppings, protein, etc. We ordered gyoza and a ramen each, and that was a good amount of food for us. Their choice of drinks was good enough - a few types of sake and beer. Very tasty, would recommend!

Service was bloody slow. Don't go there if you are in a hurry! Went there for lunch on a weekday, and the ramen still haven't arrived after waiting for 20 minutes. Left without eating anything as I had to run for a meeting :(

Great atmosphere, classic ramen. Makes a good date night!

The ramen and wagyu spring roll was amazing, however, the katsu and piggy bao was extreme dry. We were seated within the open kitchen area but in front of the sink and mid way through my meal I had lost my appetite as I kept seeing the staff wash their dirty appliances... I guess it was because they were cleaning up as it was 45 mins till closing time but it was pretty gross seeing all the gunk in the sink

Solid atmosphere, really nice quality foods. Enough options to stay on a Keto Diet. Recommend the pork belly! (I forgot to take a photo of it, though)
