Overpriced for such an avarage menu

Great food, perfect for city lunch or after work happy hour

LOVE the food here, we had two plates of starters, chicken ribs and cauliflower, they both are interestingly tasty. We didn't try the paella, but will come back for it when we need a proper meal. The staffs were friendly and nice, especially Leandro, he was very attentive.

Everything is good except the paellas is too salted. This is the second time I came here, last time it is also salted. I recommend the crumbed chicken ribs, we always order two plates, it is crazy juicy and crispy.

Terrible service. I bought paella "take away" to join my husband to eat as he was ordering food at another restaurant down the food strip, however apparently all the restaurants will not allow you to bring another restaurant food. We returned to Simply Spanish thinking surely we can sit at one of their tables to finish my food. We were greeted by a Latino woman that said we cannot eat here at the dining area. I asked her to clarify , that she wouldn't allow me to eat Simply Spanish food in it's own restaurant as that is rather absurd. She replied that prices are different for take away vs diners. Now, I understand the reasoning of higher prices covers staff and it wouldn't annoyed me so much if the restaurant was busy as it's a reasonable ask, but we were the only person in the inside / outside restaurant! Besides we just needed a table to eat their food, not service. She sent us to the public seating to have us eat our food near the bin. If they hire floor manager that really know how to operate a business and was strong on customer service, just being flexible, have a smile on their and tell me what their policy is however given the place is empty, they'd honour me sitting down to eat their food could had more of a positive outcome and returning customers. I do like their food, but to pay $15paella for two muscles and service like that. Will never come back nor recommend anyone for that matter. Stay away.

Great food and service to suit. The paella is almost fresh and consistently good. The prices are a bit high but I guess the fact that I return implies the food is worth the price. One of the added benefits of visiting The Simply Spanish is that it is in the South Melbourne market. If you haven’t been here, it is worth a visit.

Quick service and yummy food. Good portion but seems to be most dishes are deep-fried. Delicious though, especially the pork belly and lamb ribs. Would recommend to the others.

Great Spanish food, one of the most delicious Paellas I’ve tried. The atmosphere was nice and good customer service to match. Special mention for María José, she was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for the experience, we’ll come back.

great authentic spanish food options with multiple paellas on offer! the paellas are definitely one to order! they provide indoor seating as well as plenty of spacious outdoor seating. family friendly, as i went here with a group of friends which also had two babies. staff was happy to accommodate for our needs. food is tasty!

Our first visit to the simply Spanish. Great service great food. Young man who served us was very polite and friendly, we enjoyed very much. Will be visiting soon again.
