Never been before, but will definitely be back. The food was great, good prices, excellent service. Plenty of seats. We walked from hotel to dinner. There were a lot of people around for a Wednesday night. My friend and I had a good night.

we started of with high hopes as the staff were very welcoming, and we certainly could not fault the service. When it comes to the food that is a different story. Firstly I had to send back a glass of coke as it was 3/4 full of ice, what do people think is going to happen as this much ice melts, you may as well order coke and water mixed together. I know people are trained this way, but unfortunately you only get 1/4 of what you pay for, 2 pieces of ice in a glass is sufficient. I was hoping the steak would be tender tasty and cooked as I asked especially considering the Price, which would be fine if it was, it was far from this. I have had a more tender piece from the budget section at Woolworth's. The menu stated roast potatoes, these were not roasted but appeared to be attempted to in a steam oven or similar. And why you would put the potatoes and vegetable's, blanched beans x 4 and 2 pieces of zucchini under the steak to make it look bigger is beyond me. I have eaten at 100's of places during my 50 years on this planet, and yet the most surprising thing was, not once did anyone ask us if our meals were ok or did we enjoy it, even when we paid. I am thinking after eating that this may be on purpose as from what the 5 of us experienced on the night, the establishment may not have been interested in the answer but only charging reasonable prices for poor food. Totally disappointed to say the least. Surely you can do better.

My wife and I called into this venue as we strolled around Salamanca Place and were pleasantly surprised with the menu outside, to the point where we decided to lunch there. We were surprised at how large the space was and taken by the very appealing ambience as well as the warm welcome from the host, who guided us to a table right at the rear looking at the rock wall and the glorious Japanese Maple. Suffice to say, we had an awesome lunch sharing a seafood platter and some good wines plus attentive service and a very enjoyable afternoon with some very appealing music in the background. So much so that we will be back to this venue again on our next visit and this time for dinner. We highly recommend this very elegant venue

Been here a few times. Steak is the speciality but there are other options on the menu. I had pork chops which were nice but banoffee pavlova was better

Absolutely delicious food, excellent facilities and wonderful service. The portion size and quality is by far the best I’ve had anywhere. I live in Sydney and I shall visit here every time I come to Hobart.

Serving staff were lovely. Food was average. They offered kids servings and then charged full price for tiny serves for my14 and 12yo I felt like a tourist being exploited. Went back to the hotel and gave the kids fruit. ng exploited. Came back to the hoteland fed the kids fruit.

The rating is for the food only as the service was excellent. The food, however, was beyond disappointing. The duck looked shriveled, was dry and tough. This dish was returned to the kitchen largely uneaten and was not paid for. The ravioli was dry and hard, the seafood chowder consisted of a small amount of seafood floating in what looked like tinned tomatoes, and the hamburger rissole had no taste. The wait staff were very friendly and welcoming and in the end very apologetic. So disappointed as we had the choice of a number of restaurants that night and definitely made the wrong choice.
