175 Katoomba St 2780, Katoomba
It’s a small cafe serving hearty, home cooked meals. Can’t fault it! We had the ploughman’s lunch and barramundi, it was delicious. We dug I’m so quick, we didn’t get a chance for a photo. But the fire place sure kept us warm! If you’re visiting from the city, leave your ego at the door and you will thoroughly enjoy this cafe!
This Cafe seriously needs to get their act together. We only ordered 4 soups and we timed it from order to table. It was a staggering 55 minutes. Not good service at all. Furthermore, others were being served who came much later. Not fair. The prices for food and beverage were sky high and should be halved to get closer to their true value. Suggest trying elsewhere. There are some great cafe shops in Katoomba that don't over charge and where the waiting time is very reasonable.
New management. So so much better, Dom and Anna are lovely and the food is great 👍
Cozy place with a good kangaroo burger and beef toastie, don't really know why it has had reviews. Great little spot
It was a rainy day so happy to be inside. Coffee was so so, weak and not nicely presented. Can probably find better coffee in Katoomba.
Nice food, shame about the service, and very rude waitress. Plenty of other places in katoomba which id chose over this place until the service improves massively. Until then skip it.
Fantastic service and atmosphere. Wish they'd make the door stay closed - a cold wind can blow in.
My partner and I from Sydney stopped in for lunch. Noticed the atmosphere is dirty and cluttered with mismatched, outdated furniture, the paint on the roof is sagging down and peeling off (we felt as if it were going to drop onto our plates) On the menu read ''sparkling red soft drink" but we were served a can of Kirk's creaming soda with a straw and a small dusty tumbler. Cutlery was brought out in a dirty tin that resembled a bin. Food wasn't half bad, but wouldn't rate it. Having experience in a cafe kitchen I could tell that the kitchen would be dirty and food not fresh. Our bill was $75 for two lunches and a drink each. We eat out daily and would not hesitate spending $100 on a meal but definitely didn't feel Katoomba Street cafe was worth what they charged. Wishing we read reviews first.. Below average food and service.
Great service from hardworking young men. Thanks for the recipe for the flourless chocolate cake.
