Katoomba Street Cafe

Overpriced and underwhelming sandwiches for us. The fresh sandwich we asked for had stale bread and my Rueben was soggy on one side. For the price I expected a club sandwich sized Rueben not a pancake with a few sticks of silverside. On the plus side it was very tasty.

The budha bowl was delicious (with chicken). Great stop.

Short staffed but very good food an coffee. They still mange to get everyone their order. 10/10 Would recommend. Great customer service, nice and warm place with COVID safety.

Lovely customer service. Quite nice brekky stuff on menu and very spacious, a lot of options to sit in different areas of the Cafe.

Good coffee and the baby chino was excellent my son remarked. Very friendly service from the owner. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a relaxed vibe. Quit traditional with a long history. Tends to attract a few locals so that is usually a good indicator of value. The cafe style menu offers a reasonable selection to suit most pallets. Price is fair and the wait time not to long.

This restaurant reminds me of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Should of checked reviews first before entering, but we were quite hungry at that time, with restaurants closing up and this restaurant at the front seemed decent. Food took 30mins to come out. Can't believe they served food on a chipped plate. The vegie burger was so sloppy, bun was dry, patty fell apart, it was just a disaster. Not to mention the filthy cutlery. We now know why you have to pay first before you get your food. I cannot begin to imagine how the kitchen would look like. The furniture inside were falling apart and are very dated. When we asked for sugars for our coffee, we got given a jar of empty sugar sachets. First and last time here. I would not recommend this place at all.
