A jem. In the rocks tables in a street beer garden seating upstairs and in the alley. Table service as well makes a pleasant visit excellent beers and reasonable prices. Friendly staff cold beer and good views

My favourite pub when I visit Sydney. Food is good and reasonably priced. I enjoy the bar more of an evening when it is full of patrons.

Great location and a good traditional pub with selection of beers and food menus. It has been fully renovated. Check out the bar area upstairs.

Heavy handed security. Lovely staff. Had 6 beers and they call the police, while I feel was relatively not under the weather. Police very heavy handed, pushing me (literally pushing) out under threat of arrest, while I’m completely fine. Totally over the top. Very disappointed considering the circumstances.

Great copy little bar, great singer on Wednesday. Heading back again today

The worst service ever. The security man with long hair and beard was racist with us. He didn’t leave us to do the queue. Also, he didn’t leave us to be in front of the premises to take a decision. He started to kick us out of the premises. We came from Brisbane to visit the oldest pub in Sydney and he treated us in a terrible way.

Another great historical pub in The Rocks. Great staff service, food was good. Convenient location with easy walk to public transport. Nice to see an old fashion Aussie pub in The Rocks. They serve pints in large handles so look out! Good selection of beers. Nice decor, clean. Mixed clientele of old and young. There's kerbside sitting too! Highly recommend this place. Add as start to your pub crawl through the Rocks.

Nice cold beer . Waiting for a table outside to listen to the music and order a meal . We were told sit inside at a particular table so the security guy could see us . Three groups arrived and were seated outside while we sat waiting . Security wouldn’t make eye contact then when we walked to the front. Dam shame . His bad manners and preference to seating younger girls was greater than our older aged money wasn’t good enough . Plenty of other pubs there . Better service and great food . Your loss .

Got turned away by security because I was apparently too inebriated according to them whilst jamming to their music in line. I hadn't drunk any alcohol... I'm assuming because I was dressed in alternative to what the regulars wear. Besides that I guess the live music is good but I'm still soured by being told that I wasn't welcome for a false reason.
