Lovely old pub with great atmosphere. Wonderful welcoming staff, very attentive. Steak cooked to perfection, friends parma was delicious. A wonderful find while in Sydney, well worth a visit for a great meal or just a drink.

The location of this pub is great. Very friendly staff especially Julie. The menu has a great selection to choose from & we didn’t have to wait to long for our meals. The steak was great & the prices are reasonable. We would come back again.

Good food, very attentive waitress. The food was simple well cooked and plenty of it. No complaints here :)

Rude bouncer on the door - power tripper, i can only assume he is treated badly outside of the workplace - leave that stuff at home matey boy. Sort your attitude out, you come across as extremely unprofessional and arrogant - it is not a good look for the establishment. I am sorry to have to give this review, as the watress upstairs was so kind and friendly with great customer service skills.

Aside from Security personnel, this place has nice food especially the Guinness Stew and the wait-staff are all very friendly and well mannered. The Hotel is well positioned, the menu is quote broad and has much variety. The food portions are good and the prices are very reasonable. Especially given the location. On the night I went, there was an issue with meal delivery times but I'm guessing this may have just been a one off or a Kitchen issue. This place shouldn't ever won't have problems with filling up with Tourists but as a local, it's unlikely I will return after the issue at the door and the poor communication skills by a select few which could have resolved these issues in the first instance. 5 star if improvements can be achieved with Security knowing how and what to ask appropriately at the entrance door without offending anyone.

Such a favourite pub! Wish the live music went later though. Would have absolutely stayed longer if it did.

Great service and child friendly. We went to the pub for the history and a classic pub meal. We were very impressed. We were greeted warmly as we entered and shown to a free table. The staff were so lovely and our little girl received a colouring page with some pencils to keep her occupied. We had the steak and my daughter had the kid’s schnitzel which was quite a generous portion. The meal comes with a small ice cream as well.

Great old pub inside with live music! Then they are running a great outside beer garden for the next few months 🙌🏻👍🏻
