Awesome range of favours and great lunch specials. My colleagues and I come here regularly for lunch and there's still so much on the menu left to try. Great service too, and lovely outdoor seating so you can catch the breeze on the shade on a warm day.
Loved this place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was filled with heart and soul.
Great place to grab a bite late at night. We enjoyed the Creole cuisine. The chicken fried steak is tasty but huge and in the words of our waitress - it does take down a few people! The gumbo did not quite work for us but was great to try something new.
The good was so yummy and the staff were absolutely lovely and fantastic
Food is always amazing and wait times are never long
Awesome food and amazing Margaritas. Probably been here over 20 times and the menu is always updated with new amazing things to eat. Staff are also super friendly and have great customer service
Went here with someone from Louisiana and they say this is the real deal. The Chicken Fried Steak is actually beef (just looks like fried chicken) and just fits on a platter-sized plate. Great if you have a big appetite and like fried, heavy foods. Everything has a delicious sweet and savoury spice. I loved my lamb ribs - sweet sticky and meaty. If youre looking for a balance between small plates and huge I recommend the Gumbo.
Hands down best soul food in Brisbane!!!! Chicken fried chicken is insane! Everything is quality, well thought out, & the owner is so welcoming & passionate! Authentic & genuine... they really put a lot of thought into their food. You won’t be disappointed, def a special gem.
The fried zucchini special was super tasty. The chicken and sausage gumbo was decent but I was expecting more kick from the andouille sausage. However the real reason for 3 stars were the beignets. They’re supposed to be lightly fried doughy transports for obscene amounts of powdered sugar. The only thing right was the sugar. Waaay over fried to the point where they were rock solid they were essentially inedible. It was a bummer because I was so excited about them. In the photo you can see how dark and thick the outsides were.
Great food! Consistently good! Also very friendly service.
