31 of us went to Cafe del mar yesterday for a Hens Day and I couldn't fault anything. The food was yummy, presented well and plenty of it. The waitstaff were very attentive and pleasant, lastly the lady at the front of house was beautiful and very friendly.

We were greeted by a lovely lady at the entry and customer service was fantastic throughout. The restaurant had great ambient lighting with a view that overlooks the harbour. The main meals were large portions and tasted great.

Went there to have dinner with family. It was the first time for me to go there. The foods were nice. Presentation was good. The down side is i got charged for still water for $30. I wouldn't mind to pay if i knew the water is $30. The problem is none of thecwaitreses or the waiters there explained that the water is that much. When they asked me what i wanted to drink, i ordered just water?l, not still water. They gave me a bottle of water with no brand and i got charged for $30 for that. Because of this, i don't think i would recommend to my friends. I worked at 5 star hotel when i was a student and the hotel didn't serve tab water. It was compulsory for me to explain to customers so they wouldn't get shocked to get charged for water. It's professional at all. Disappointed with the service. Definitely not going to recommend this to anyone

Couldn’t have expected friendlier service - greeted with smiles by all. Water constantly topped up and the food was great and well priced. Highly recommended for a peaceful lunch with views of Darling harbour.

Bad experience with manager. Was informed by staff to order drinks at outside bar, as they were not allowing table service for drinks at a restaurant. We Went outside. Moments later had the manager in our face screaming to leave that area. Extremely unprofessional and in my personal space. Especially during pandemic felt tooooo close. Definitely not a venue that takes covid measures. This service by the manager wreaked the experience for us. Would not recommend nor would ever go back.

Heartbreakingly disappointing Went there today for Mother’s Day lunch. All seemed great going in. Great location, views and lovely service. But the food and drinks! Glass of bubbly was teeny tiny. Prawns tasted like prawn guts. Octopus was stodgy. Carpaccio was okay. Fish tasted a bit off, definitely not fresh, and the ratatouille sauce tasted out of a tin, potato rosti was slightly raw. Beef cheek was coated in congealed fat and tasteless. White wine sangria went mostly untouched, reminded me of cordial and vodka from student days. Desserts were okay. Pear and ricotta tart would have been better at room temperature not cold from the fridge. The passion fruit tart was the single thing I ate that I actually enjoyed. My husband went to the effort of finding and booking and paying a small fortune for the lunch so I didn’t complain cos it would have ruined the day. But I was crying inside!
