I recommend joining their free loyalty club as the drink and food discounts are pretty decent. This place is somewhere between a standard city pub and something more substantial, so my enjoyment seems to differ depending on what day and time we dine (ranging from loving it on the weekends to feeling less inspired in Thursday nights).

District Brasserie is a classic French brasserie using primo ingredients to make delicious food . Some starters have a modern twist, such as raw cobia with radish, ponzu and a macadamia paste. Class steak tartare is served with a crispy tapioca cracker. Steak frites is a classic, ours served with grilled watercress which added a tasty sharp element to the plate, bearnaise is always decedent, I see this dish being a favourite for the suits that roll in this part of town. The steam snapper is exceptional, delicate and light, served on a bed of shrooms and mussels on a divine sauce. Desserts are equally good. I was invited to District Brasserie by a PR company but I would never write a review that is not justified, this place is great.

Can be really busy during lunch time. Preparation can take a while, but it was worth the wait. I ordered the chilli noodle which is quite spicy by my standard, you could taste the noodle is hand made on the spot not which is extremely important for any decent noodle shop. The girls next to me ordered the Pao Mo soup which they reckon was really nice as well.

I've been going there for lunch at least once a week for the last six months. The pork or eel katsu-don has always been good, and the rice has excellent, almost nutty flavour. Service is quick and friendly. Prices are good. Only negative: sometimes the music is loud.

Came here just as it was about to close up. So service was a bit short and rude but it's a takeaway service so who cares and it's quick and pretty much what you would expect. I always go for the spicy noodles with veggie wonton. It's spicy from sichaun pepper so it's very numbing rather than mind blowingly hot. I recommend it for a quick dumpling/dim sum meal when out shopping in Westfield Pitt St.

Super fast, pleasant service. I'm not sure how it's possible to make a panini and a pasta in that time, but they sure did it. Maybe time flies when you're in good company. They explicitly state on the menu that they make customized panini to order, which is great. I get a ham, rocket, mushroom, and avocado panini, which comes warm and crispy. My friend gets a the carbonara pasta, and she complains it's a little too creamy for her taste, but not bad. Not mind-blowingly amazing, but not bad, either.

The original venue now renovated. Original and snowcheese fried chicken are the best of the bunch! Cass Beer and Soju are a must have accompaniment. Expect to wait for a seating on most nights.

Great place! I live close by and didn't expect anything in particular but the service is great, the coffee incredible and the atmosphere is wonderful. A place where you can wind down and enjoy your coffee with some nice music in the background. Highly recommend it!
Nice venue, but the pasta I had (spaghetti marinara) was too salty for my liking. Dessert was delicious tho! (Chocolate "Nemesis" and Almond Apple something).
