KINDRED Restaurant
4.8
/ 338

137 Cleveland St corner of Edward 2008, Sydney

Absolutely beautiful! Fresh home style Italian cooking at its finest, the venue is cosy and a great way to spend a cold night with a impeccable selection of wine and pastas. The staff were friendly and professional, will defiantly be returning and recommending to others.

Country Club Gledswood Hills
4.1
/ 539

Gregory Hills Country Club 91 The Hermitage Way Gledswood Hills 2557, Sydney

From the front to out back the staff were fantastic. Very friendly place to go ☺

Vizio Caffé e Cucina
4.4
/ 436

Shop 1/52-58 William Street Woolloomooloo 2011, Sydney

Italian food with a twist! Super friendly staff will help you make choices from their wide menu. Pumpkin gnocchi was GREAT! Prices are on the more expensive side, however the food is good quality and thoughtfully prepared.

Fratelli Fresh
3.4
/ 934

Level 5 Westfield Sydney 2000, Sydney

Quietly confident! I decided to attend opening day this morning and was treated with $1 coffees and free keep cups. Lines went a bit slow and even though I turned up 20 minutes early, and I was third in line I still waited a further 10 minutes to go inside where I joined a second line for another 10 minutes . It seems there could have been a better way to speed things up. There seemed to be over 14 employees standing around not doing anything which is not a great look. It would have been nice if they were talking to customers. The take-away area was having issues with receipts not having names and I thought this was something that should have been sorted prior. I was behind two men who kept saying how disappointing and unprofessional the event was. I disagree, they expected free food on-top of the coffee. They also were displeased with the wait. They voiced this displeasure to several staff. They seemed like dicks. Like I said, I do think the staff could have been more helpful. I overheard a ?manager? Say they were having a few more deals on opening day but I couldn't hear what they were and saw no signs. In the end the opening day wasn't thrilling but the decor was nice, coffee was fine and it's exciting to see new things happening in the area. I will update when I try the food! But as said, I'm quietly confident!

Criniti's Darling Harbour
3.0
/ 1355

Harbourside Shopping Centre L 2 2-10 Darling Dr 2000, Sydney

Get the $30 antipasto platter - best value for money in Sydney! Avoid the cocktails, this is not the place to get them (staff not trained enough?).

Boon Cafe & Restaurant
4.3
/ 459

1/425 Pitt St 2000, Sydney

Fantastic 'thai' sandwiches. Unique taste and flavours. Decor is cute, Asian supermarket next door.

Rice Workshop
4.5
/ 400

100 Market St, Sydney

A simple but good menu, often long lines but both ordering and preparing the food is quick so this is not a problem. Consistent high quality, I can only recommend this restaurant!

glass brasserie
4.4
/ 427

488 George St Level 2 2000, Sydney

The rockdale fillet is nice..and the truffle fries are much tastier than Charlie & Co. The tempura prawns are a disappointment though.

Cho Cho San
4.3
/ 455

73 Macleay St 2011, Sydney

Great uptown dining experience as you'd expect for Potts Point. Interior is all white and very modern with a long bar for big groups and small, two person tables for a great date night. Try the "Feed Me" which includes way too many courses and ends with a sesame ice-cream cone.

Toko Sydney
4.2
/ 487

490 Crown St Surry Hills 2010, Sydney

Good quick sushi train. Monday night flat rate plates are great but expect a queue.

Lal Qila Restaurant
3.9
/ 602

351-353 Cleveland Street Surry Hills 2010, Sydney

I think that Lal Qila might have the best Pakistani food in the world. And that includes Pakistan. That title previously went to a place in Chicago (Sabri Nehari - also a great place if you're ever in Chicago), but ever since Lal Qila opened up, I haven't gone to any other Pakistani restaurants in Sydney. Make sure to try the Bihari kebab (excellent), the lamb boti, and/or the chicken karhai. They're all standard South Asian staples, but Lal Qila does them all spectacularly. Personally, I judge Pakistani restaurants by the quality of their nihari - which is sort of like judging an American restaurant by the quality of the steak. And once again, Lal Qila is a winner. On par with the best nihari in Karachi. Bottom line - on the off-chance that there might be better Pakistani food somewhere in the world, I can say with fair certainty that this place is DEFINITELY the best in Sydney. And I've recruited many of my non-Pakistani friends to agree.

Black Star Pastry
4.1
/ 518

277 Australia St, Newtown 2042, Sydney

Just amazing patisserie. Lemon meringue pie with basil jelly perfect. The lamb shank and beef pies are excellent too, and the shop does a decent coffee and has a few seats for you to sit and greedily consume if you can't bear to wait until you get home.

Big Poppa's
4.5
/ 390

96 Oxford St Darlinghurst 2010, Sydney

Lovely new Italian wine and cheese bar. You must try their burrata and their roast chicken on kale. Awesome lamb parpadelle as well. Hip crowd. Great service and good cocktails too

The Edinburgh Castle
4.0
/ 555

Edinburgh Castle Hotel Sydney 2000 294 Pitt St Corner Pitt and Bathurst Streets 2000, Sydney

Public bar that serves meals downstairs with good bar service and selection of drinks. Pretty casual place that is more 'rustic city pub' than 'old man beer drinking'. I've been disappointed before with the food service in the upstairs restaurant. Food quality was average and service slow.

The Original Harbour View
4.2
/ 475

18 Lower Fort Street 2000, Sydney

The food was great for the price - better than expected for a pub. The staff were slightly absent-minded with one forgetting to bring our food out and another one spilling drinks; nothing that bothers me but I thought it best to mention it for Dorothy's sake: If the phone call ruined your meal, eating here (or out of home) is not advisable!
