Dropped by for a special afternoon tea with my youngest late last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As usual, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere provided just the right balance of casual & professional. Love the library room! Would certainly be a great place for a team building session or casual business meeting. Well done to Belinda and the team here for continuing the great tradition of Beechworth & Tom in Ballarat!

Great burgers but also try their fries and zucchini fritters. 3 different options for vegetarians. With every purchase the restaurant also donates to a local cause.

I'm travelling around Australia ,a big brekkie is often a favorite of mine and it's interesting to see whats the norm around OZ!! Now I have to say the lekker is in my top 2 out of so many ive forgotten but over 100. The waitress had everything under control, making coffees, serving and friendly banter, and the food was superb

Really expensive for what it is, I thought. The rude waitress is still there, but we were the only ones in the place (lunch on a Tuesday), and we were greeted by the cook at the door, so we missed out on the surly, "do you wanna eat?" On the upside, it's a cool old historic building, and the food is really really good. On the downside, it's all stairs, so if you have a problem with those, give it a miss. The toilets are two flights up.

Nice food, drinks at "normal" prices, friendly and helpful staff. The only two gripes I have is that the air conditioner wasn't working and it was stinking hot in the side room, and the delivery of food was a bit slow and sporatic.

I'm from Melbourne but do come down to Ballarat quite often and I've tried a lot of Schnitz franchises in Melbourne. Unfortunately all 3 occasions I've been to the Ballarat Schnitz, they have somehow burnt my schnitzel. The chips are always good and the dips are consistent, but I'm assuming these aren't made on premises. As for the ambiance of the place, it's been extremely well designed, nice use of timber throughout and is aligned to the general theme of all Schnitz franchises I've been to. All they need to do is rectify this burnt schnitzel issue, i've been 3 times now and every time my Fiery Turban wrap has had burnt schnitzel, fix that up and voilà it'll be a 5/5
