Came here today after reading the reviews. Lots of staff on deck however, they weren’t doing a lot! The line to order was long, I was in the queue. One person at the til serving, another at making coffee and not sure what the other 4 staff members were doing besides talking. I asked one of the staff members if she could jump on the til so that we can order our takeaway sausage rolls however she said sorry and keep walking. We ended up leaving and I told another staff member my reasons above, she just looked at me. What a shame.

The food was incredible! Best coffee we've ever had. The pies and sausage rolls were out of this world! By far the best bakery I've ever been to. The staff were so nice and friendly as well. Efficient too which was great! The place itself was clean and tidy and they even have bathrooms which was a big plus! Can't wait to go back!

I've been to Beechworth Bakery in Ballarat a number of times over the years, and they do GREAT cakes and coffee. The place is clean, service good, and the only think I can say that isn't entirely favourable is that the place is cavernous!! The ceiling is very high, the floor area large, and the volume of the place is enormous. I guess they rent the building, and that's what it is, but it does feel like it's too big. The bonus, of course, is that the tables are widely spaced, and that's not a bad thing, and it doesn't affect the quality of the cakes and coffee.

We have had lunch here several times and without fail the meat pies, sausage rolls and deserts were always consistently good. The steak and pepper pie is delicious with larger chunks of meat. The bee stings are something you must try and the staff are always friendly. No complaints about the coffee either. The pies here are the best pies we have had in ballarat.
