Can't go wrong with pancakes and ice cream. Friendly staff. Was good

Great to have pancakes as a treat when travelling. Best thing is, this place is always open and they have plenty of seating indoors, in fact 3 levels of seating! The menu is large and they serve other foods not just pancakes. We had the lemon & sugar pancake served with two wedges of lemon & ice cream, the crunchy salted caramel- so nutty, & the Alice in wonderland. All sweet pancakes in single serve. The potato and cheese pancake was good with the airy and soft pancake and the melted cheese that was crispy. No complaints about the food. Service was a bit inconsistent, staff member were not assigned sections so any staff member served us, our food wasn’t served to us at the same time and we had to ask for water several times.

This is a good place if you want to have sweet or savoury food. Or even both! Hot Chocolate here is of good quality and their pancakes are super delicious. Not to mention the staff was really friendly. Would definitely recommend for breakfast/brunch.

Sensational service and amazing lunch of banana and berry pancake wonders, with hot chocolate. It was an absolute delight to have lunch at Ballarat’s The Pancake Kitchen. Thankyou team for looking after us so well and your scrumptious dishes.

Waited for 20 minutes without even receiving our drinks. Approached a waitress to ask about our order as we had a show and she questioned someone else stating we had been waiting a few minutes. Not good enough. We understand that food takes time to cook, but to leave people waiting, not being their drinks or even update them in the wait time for their meal Don’t bother

Mediocre variety, reasonable prices, friendly staff

Well over priced for the 45minute wait. The food was good but really nothing to rave about. Our bill was an additional $9.50 due to public holiday surcharge (toilets are on the 3rd floor via the stair not sure if there is other access for elderly or disabled would pay to check before taking nan or pop)
