Excellent place, exquisite food, exceptional service, highly recommended

Lovely location and top notch service that can't be faulted. Also great environment inside (vibe), but definitely could be better temp controlled. Felt the menu was a little more for the gram than the belly, all delicious food but you are definitely paying top dollar. An enjoyable time regardless.

Hands down best restaurant in Sydney. Beautiful dining room - every detail immaculate. Most knowledgeable and professional staff that I have encountered. Sommelier world class along with the wine list. Merivale has done it again achieving new dining heights.

Having dined here about a month ago, the memory of it remains a bitter one. The food was mediocre, despite all the hype. We loved the decor, view and oysters, but that’s where it stopped. I was quite disappointed with the balance of the dishes. Having said that, the staff were very lovely and attentive. I can earnestly say I would not recommend the place for the food - come for drinks and oysters. Before you pay the bill, ensure you have the defibrillator fully charged and on standby. It was astronomical and price point was on par with what you’d pay at a triple hatted restaurant / Michelin star.

4.5 is a right rating. Love the vibes and the service from the manager I assume. The best soufflé I’ve tried in Sydney, oh my god.

I was excited to try here after seeing the beautiful pictures on Instagram but was appalled by the service we received. Our waitress insisted that we order more food (an extra 2-3 dishes) and started giving us looks when we said what we ordered should be enough. She told us how the mains portion would be too small and we would only get one bite worth of food. Despite her comments we didn’t order the extra dishes and with the selection we ordered we couldn’t finish. I couldn’t imagine what the waste would be like had we listened to her suggestions.

Beautiful venue with very anticlimactic food experience. Started off great with the toro and calamari skewers, spanner crab and the caviar pie 🥧was nice - worth the price tags? Nah. You're mostly paying for the atmosphere and the fit out, trust me. Pipis and the roasted yellow belly flounder were supposed to be 'mains' aka highlight of the meal yet they were probably some of the worst dishes I have ever had at any upscale(or regular) restaurant, almost a joke really. Pipis were big but not juicy at all and even got this tough rubbery texture, some got a bitter taste; Don’t even get me started with the flounder - dry, tasteless just outright disappointment. By all means if you like to splurge with extra $$💵 at a lavish restaurant but just don't expect this place would take you on a remarkable taste journey.

Fantastic! There's a person to greet you at the door, (& opens the door for you) covid check in & hand sanitizers, all staff have masks on. The dining room is brightly lit with natural light, beautiful view of coggee beach, nice & spacious (enough space for pram) & highchairs are available. The kitchen is open & you can see all the chefs hard at work & all the fresh produce. The food was fresh & delicious! The flavours are well paired & dishes presented beautifully. We will definitely return.

The venue is very beautiful - classic, elegant with good ambience. The food was good but not at fine dining standard - for the prices they’re charging it needed to be exceptional. The chips were particularly terrible! Soggy, overcooked and expensive. Service was friendly but inattentive - again not at fine dining standards. Overall, wouldn’t recommended.
