I really don't understand how this place is rated so high by so many people. The atmosphere is magic, I will give them that. The café is nicely decorated and makes you feel you are in a fairy tale. Having said that, the food and the service are very. I have ordered simple poached eggs on buttered bread. I got instead a plate with buttered bread, two overcooked eggs with a tomato wedge in between (I guess it was meant to be decorative) and... raspberry jam in a petri dish! What was I supposed to do? Add the jam on my egg on the bread? My girlfriend ordered a homemade granola with fresh fruit. The granola was good, although the fruit was frozen (raspberry and blueberry) and only the banana was fresh! We asked for some water that never arrived. To finish, when we paid at the register and got asked if all was good, my girlfriend told the cashier about her frozen fruit. In response she got "oh yeah, the berries are frozen". Not an apology, not an explanation. I really wish the owner/manager reads the review and provides an explanation.

My dining experience in here was fantastic. The food was served hot and the serving size is great for full meal. On top of that, the ambience of the Cafe is one of the best in Sydney. Its all wooden made, accompanied with nice classic music :)

A uniquely decorated cafe serving clean home cook foods fantastic for a cold day, people snuggle up in nooks and crannies of booths, slurping up soups and chillis and munching down juicily layered sandwiches. What I particularly wanted to mention is how calm, courteous and kind the staff kept in a completely full house, with patrons (understandably) negotiating the narrow alleys taking photos of your one of a kind decor and war art, could get a bit mad! The vibe is one of 'keep calm and serve on' and I really liked that. Price points are really reasonable and food super hearty and carefully prepared, not one of those thoroughfare product. Thank you very much.

A truly magical place, like stepping into a medieval fantasy film. The food is delicious and super comforting, and the staff are so kind and gentle. Been coming here since I was a kid and still blows me away every time. Highly recommend the tofu burger and apple cider.

Do yourself a favour and have a nice lunch or even grab a coffee here. First look at the menu, may not be your cup of tea. But give it a try and it'll change your mind. Simple dishes packed with flavour. The decor and architectural building was absolutely stunning. So much thought and love put into this little Cafe . Have a read about what their community is about. I can see why they're still 4.5 stars after over 1000 reviews. Good good, great coffee and a great sense of community. Will I come back? Definite YES Don't google their photos, go there and absorb it first hand and appreciate their work

I don't know what sort magic you are performing in that kitchen but don't change a thing. First time I have written a review because it's the best thing I've ever had. The lamb sandwich is to die for Wow, just wow!

Lovely breakfast and beautiful staff with good vibes. The place is just so unique and beautiful. The produce used was of highest quality. Kids orders strawberry smoothies which were very berry-ie. Our coffees were smooth as...highly recommended😋

Awesome relaxing vibe, friendly service, and top top notch bread, including the bread served with the (Mexican) chilli. Plenty of love went into preparation of their food (we also had the smoked chicken sandwich and the reuben). Would definitely go again. Only problem is the queue, but well worth the wait

One of nicest cafes I have seen in Australia so far. The food is delicious!
