Yassas - The Greek Way

Had the small dishes, good variety and selection of dishes. We had the crispy calamari, Greek salad, roast potatoes, white bait, lamb, grilled prawns to name a few. Great view overlooking the Yarra River at Southbank. Not the cheapest but still reasonable considering the surrounds. Will come again.

The decor was beautiful inside. The classic blue and white decorations inside made it very apparent we dining in a Greek restaurant. You can smell the smoke and grill of the meat on the spot, it was an awesome scent of cooking smell. Luckily it was a fine day outside and there were seats by the balcony so we sat there with a view of the Yarra River and Flinders Street station. The food was also amazing. Had a meat platter for two and we were all full. It was actually more than enough as we barely finished it. Bread was amazing too. The meat was so delicious. Salad was incredible as well. They all went well together. We also ordered the Greek coffee. It was amazing too. Would definitely come back and try other menu options. The small plates look enticing for the next few subsequent visits.

Authentic and delicious Greek food. Everything we ordered was on point! Serving sizes are so generous. This place is great for large groups!

Not happy at all. After booking for 6 we were not allowed to order what we wanted individualy. Our 4 friends wanted the feast for two but all six of us had to have it! Very DISSAPOINTED! Food was very average not at all what I expected for $150 per couple! Serviced unacceptable. The waiters handed us the platters to fit on the table on our own while they walked away. To top it off we waited half an hour for our desserts and were asked to leave the table for the next booking without realizing that we haven't had our ordered dessert yet! Will not go again!

Shared feast with son and his partner. Servings were huge but really delicious. Staff was delightful.

Ordered a takeaway chicken souvlaki during a lunch break, was dreadfully over priced for its size, lacked fillings was mostly lettuce with only 3 chips inside, and 1 slice tomato. Some of the chicken was not cooked thoroughly and appeared raw/pink, threw the souvlaki in the bin and ordered a meal elsewhere at Southgate. On the upside the staff were friendly and it seemed like a popular restaurant however I would not go back there again. Sorry!

Great location along Southbank and the service of staff is quit attentive and friendly which makes for a greater experience of meal. The meals where cooked to perfection and taste was wonderful very nice and leaving you to want more . Highly recommend for any occasion and even casual meal with friends . Cheers
