Veg Bar

One thing I like about Hobart is that they're cold adapted. Doors are automated so there isn't a constant dinnertime passive aggressiveness from people sitting near the doors like they have in Sydney. After trekking in the cold to Veg bar it was nice to not worry about the next patron walking in. The venue was lovely, bright and diner like but modern. The staff were lovely too. I had the Big mock and had I only had that I would've given the joint a 5 cause it was an amazing burger. I did however get the slaw, which isn't pictured. It was nice for one bite but that's it...way too sweet. I had a taste of the cheeseburger which was pretty ordinary. The pattie wasn't great, if it had a big mock pattie it would've been a different story. Worth the trek for the big mock.

The decor is super cute and the staff are lovely. Although I didn't rate the food all that much. Not a lot of flavour sadly. And what was there seemed to just hit the wrong note for me me.. soy chicken wings were way too sweet, while the Korean chicken burger jist didn't have much flavour at all. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing 🤷‍♀️ Still worth checking out!!

This was the first meal we had in Hobart had two kids mini burger meal Mexicali and cheeseburger with caramello pretzel milkshake ., the ambience was so amazing and food was awesome portion size for kids was just perfect and overall service was excellent can’t complain !! Must visit place if you visit Hobart .. absolutely loved it

Friendliest staff, so wonderful to deal with and a really awesome vibe, very clean and a lovely restaurant. The nachos felt oily, not the toppings though and we also found it odd that the burger menu didn’t come with chips and so had to order them as well separately. Other than that, tasted lovely and would visit again😊

Sweet pastel 80’s chic diner feel, delicious plant based soul food. I had the cheezburger which was delicious. Would definitely suggest the buffalo wings! Vegan food can be and is so good 👌🏻🌱🤤

matt and gabby took amazing care of us and had brilliant customer service! food was amazing and the drinks were great too, hats off to them! thankyou guys<3

Beyond expectations, really enjoyed the 6 different meals we had. Great service and good value for money. Would highly recommend

Hey, how ya going? It is really good to see a vegetarian restaurant buzzing with life in Hobart. The menu has something for everyone and all reasonably priced. I got the massaman curry and it had good flavours however I would have liked if it was all cooked a bit longer. The jackfruit in particular was a bit hard for my liking. Unfortunately my partner's lasagna was cold when served as well. Overall, would definitely recommend checking out!

Great food at a reasonable price. Must try for vegetarian. The service is good. Although wait time could be little long depending on the crowd. Overall great experience. The chef is super focused and does every dish nicely.

Love the retro-themed styling of Veg Bar, and the cheeseburger I had was delicious. A lot of vegan fast food can be overly salty with fake meat etc. I like that Veg Bar uses chick peas and mushrooms in their patties. The food is very well presented, and service is excellent. I came away feeling very satisfied, and I’d definitely go back when in Hobart.
