Very popular with locals. Their coffee is a bit bitter for my taste, but obviously others like it. Their waffles are fairly unique, quite dry & crumbly - again not what I like, but good if you like that.

Friendly staff. Coffee was decent. Vegan breakfast was huge and looked very nice. Grande breakfast with beacon and eggs was okay, mild flavour and portion was a big not very grande. I think it would be better to order vegan breakfast with extra bacons or eggs if you're hungry. Anyway not a bad experience.

Probably the worst customer service i have experienced in my life. yep. It was so bizarre that i couldn't believe it actually happened. 1. the food took a while to arrive (understandable) 2. we heard leaving customers complaining about the service under their breath (so it was not just us) 3. my friends were treated like a burden when it was time to order with a 'what do you want?' attitude 4. the waitress took a long time to write down the orders and was forgetful and frustratingly timid (understandable, might be her first day - whatever) 5. the lady at the front who was 'managing' things was throwing a very obnoxious pity party and tantrum for every customer to hear. was complaining (nearly shouting) about her personal financial issues which is unprofessional and should be dealt with in private 6. now this lady was obviously distressed which is again understandable,- life happens. But what is not acceptable is making others feel super uncomfortable and by heavily and radiating such negative energy in a role of hospitality. 7. I have serious allergies and dietary preferences so i brought my food from a trustworthy place down the road into the cafe. I was aware that some cafe's have an issue with this - my bad, I apologise. But the lady was so distressed and disorganised as well as unapproachable in such a volatile state, so much so that i genuinely thought my takeaway food was the least of her worries. She had paying and waiting customers to prioritise. Also, all my friends had already spent a lot of money here on the food already. If she had an issue with my take away food she could have told me instead of giving me a petty comment when i asked her for tomato sauce cos my friends burger was really dry. She hands it to me saying 'for your cheeky takeaway'. aha i already finished my takeaway by the time your food got to the table. 8.my friend told the waitress that 'we are not going to stay here if we are not going to be treated nicely'. word for word and civil. no reassurance, no apologies, no solution, no nothing. just a 'ok then' 9. as we are trying to eat our breakfast in peace, we hear the staff complaining explicitly about us, loud enough for us to hear. real mature. 10. we didn't realise the underlying racial discrimination when a group of white middle aged men came into the cafe and were welcomed with a completely juxtaposing sweet and calm composure. I still have other issues with this place but those were the ones that came straight to mind. If you are going to respond saying that we didn't give you feed back then and there, it was because you were not having it, you were unapproachable, had no humility and too much pride. From witnessing that behaviour we assumed you had no room to respect other people's opinions and are too self-invested in your own issues. This review is merely for the people who are planning to come here. We pray that this is a one-off because it has been 12 hours since the event and my blood is still curdling. I do not want another human to feel mistreated the way we did. we have all worked in this industry. we have been waitresses/baristas and we all have personal issues in the background. but never in our lives have we vented our frustrations on innocent customers who never disrespected you. we are teenagers for goodness sake and we know at least that much. Praying for your cafe and hope you figure yourselves, peace out :-(
