The Star Gold Coast

I really think this casino need some life music band , Karaoke night , more restaurants and bars. Sydney Star is alot more fun to visit.

This was our first time staying at a Casino hotel and I’ve got to say, it has been really great! It’s clear that they make all of their money from the gaming because everything else is cheap or FREE! Sign up to be a member, you get lots of free food, free drinks and free gaming money. The food is great and good quantities, the facilities were nice (gym, pool, spa, etc) and the casino is rocking all of the time. The only issues really are the rooms are a bit strange, no facilities like cutlery, bowls, plates, etc and the hotel is very by the numbers. Lots of lines for everything, they basically want you in, make all the money they can from you and then go away please. Now, I’m probably not their target demographic because I don’t gamble, but it was exciting to watch everyone playing blackjack and poker. All of these beautiful people dressed for the nines coming in/out. Will be back, was quite an experience.

The venue was amazing! It’s not only grand in size but grand in feeling as well. Was there for a corporate event but I’ll again go there for drinks definitely.

We had such a blast here! really enjoyed myself - I’m not a big gambler but it was a great night out and I would recommend visiting. When you sign up to be a member you get some vouchers including drinks and food so at least your first visit is on them! Lost a star as one of the security people wouldn’t let me back on the floor after I popped to the members desk because I was wearing thongs (fancy ones!!) even though I had arrived before the 6 pm cut-off. That cut short our night so remember to dress smart.

What a great hotel stay. The interior is classy but relaxed, customer service is excellent and the pool and lounges are wonderful. Location is great and bed is the most comfortable in history. Was a bit nonchalant about going to the gold coast but loved it a lot. This hotel played a key part in that.

Well spread buffet. Good food choices. Friendly service.

Hi all, Just so you know and hopefully don't pay for something not worth the money, we were extremely disappointed with the breakfast that was provided with our stay. We especially paid the extra $80 per night to get breakfast. What we got was not nice and at best a $30 breakfast and to add to it if I wanted a big breakfast I would have to pay an extra $6. You can chose one 1 dish and anything apart from your menu choice was extra. This the 3rd hotel we have stayed at this week all the other hotels had significantly better breakfast that were fitting of a five star hotel. Both of the other hotels managed to have buffet style breakfast even under the current conditions and considering the size of star hotel group this should not be unachievable. This is not what was expected and significantly underwhelming experience of staying at your hotel. I would not recommend to anyone to pay the extra for breakfast.

Dropped in for lunch to older section everything except the Food Quarter in the gaming area shut for lunches one had coffee and cabinet food only. Come on STAR its lunch time you should have choice in an establishment like yours at least two reasonable places. So it get only 3 stars as the choice was non existent and food was good but nothing spectacular. You can do better.

They give you great vouchers when you sign up to be a free member and the decor is beautiful!

Beautiful and well positioned hotel with lots of facilities. The pool area was lovely for relaxing, especially the spas. The foot bridge over the river and ending at the convention centre was excellent for pleasant walks with great views. There were a number of works happening but they made sure not to disturb us too much! Unfortunately we were unaware that many places at The Star closed from Monday to Wednesday and we arrived on the Sunday! It would have been helpful to have some written information/pamphlets which told you what was available, when they were open, and where they were situated. I enjoyed my stay at The Star and would happily return!
