I found the parking at the Star for a show on Friday night diabolical. The most Micky mouse parking cars going round and around for 30 50 minutes. Missed part of the show which was $55. Not impressed.

Do you have a sports bar with live tv

do they have a guest swiming pool

Is there a bar in the theatre ?

Amazing service, the beds and pillows were like laying on a cloud. Room service and restaurants were accommodating for dietary requirements. They make a great watermelon cocktail at the Cherry bar too ;-)

The Gold Coast is a great place to visit. Friendly, warm, sunny and near the ocean with plenty to keep you occupied.

We stayed here for one night during the Starcation offer they had on. The check in staff were extremely friendly, the pool area is really nice, with plenty of space and different seating options available. There is also a pool side bar. Inside there are a number of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Don't ignore the casino itself as there is a Sports bar, Cherry Bar (great for cocktails) and the Food Quarter which offers a wide range if options at a reasonable price. Overall this was a wonderful experience with great service, nice, clean room with a view, great food and drink options and all close to Broadbeach.

Ooooh, I'm coming here again! This was my first time, it won't be my last! Lovely venue, nice setting, great atmosphere on the 19th floor! Staff are helpful and courteous and the rooms and food are great quality! Thank you, Star!

Good choice of food and drink options. Conveniently located between Pacific fair shopping centre and Broadbeach food and bar district, it's the ideal location. Restaurants and bars within the casino are very nice and the meals we are we're all of a very high standard.

Our stay was really good up until the moment we checked out. We booked at the last minute and got a Staycation package which included free movies and $30 on the minibar. We went to check out we were told we had $37 to pay. We explained we had a $30 credit but apparently as we checked in later we given the wrong information. There was also a $6 delivery fee for the room service. I have never heard of being charged a delivery fee before and there was no mention of it when we ordered the food online or on the receipt we were provided at the time of booking. We questioned the fee at check out and were told that lots of hotels charge a delivery fee. This is completely untrue as no hotels I have every stayed in have charged a deliver fee. The reception person was not apologetic about mix up with the $30 credit and her tone was that it was our fault. She eventually reversed the delivery fee but it really soured our stay there.

Where to start. Very disappointing. I have been a regular overnight stayer for over 20 years. They never acknowledge this when checking in. Parking is absolutely ridiculous. Check in, not friendly, not fast. I had a corner king suite 0939. The room itself was clean and comfortable, however the view was construction. Very noisy. Room service was good but extremely expensive. Was woken up by a couple arguing in the room next door. Ever since the Star took over it is not as good when it comes to accommodation and friendly staff. Check out was quick but didn't really care when I complained about the room next door. Won't be staying here again when you can get better service and price within walking distance.

It had been a while since my last trip to Surfer's Paradise, so it was mandatory to check out the new Star (formerly Jupiter's) Casino. I was pleasantly surprised. Decor was modern and the lighting was just right, not too bright, yet not at all dim...very comfortable and inviting. We all renewed our memberships, and ventured into the den of one armed bandits, past the roulette and baccarat tables. A little "quiet" compared with my last visit pre pandemic, but I was happy to see a decent amount of punters enjoying them selves. Food options were varied, with roasts and calamari featuring that evening. Slow cooked rare sirloin.....I couldn't resist! It was wonderful! $16.50 for guests, and $14.50 for members....Bargain! We made our usual "donations" at the pokies, however, more than made up at the tables.....Lady luck was with us!. Free parking was a bonus. You wander why the Star in Darling Harbour doesn't offer it to members...hint hint. There were live shows and movies to enjoy, and a multitude of dining options to choose from. Next time, I must plan to stay a few nights.
