The Smith Prahran

The place is beautiful inside! Definitely its main feature and attraction is it's decor. The staff were friendly and the food was okay, as well as the drinks.

It’s beautiful inside. the steak taste just okay. My friend ordered the rump steak for medium but it tastes like medium well. My MS8+ is fine but not very juicy. Buttered mash is very small portion. Grilled Halloumi is salty for me. Citrus cured salmon tastes like smoky salmon

They have a very creative menu for Cocktails, however I just wish that they have more options for Mocktails for those who don't drink alcohol. The food menu is standard just like other Bar menus, and same goes with the taste and quality of the food. We were lucky enough to experience the "Happy Hour" so all drinks were half price. Really good place to catch up with friends, and also very instagrammable! 😜

The decor was amazing and they had a cherry blossom installation which was a bonus! The service was great and I really liked using the app for ordering - COVID safe and no waiting in lines. Staff were friendly and accommodating to our large group. Food and drinks were great and brought out quickly even thought it was very busy.

Cute and chic dining venue for a couple of drinks and dinner with friends on a Friday evening. At the time I went they had cherry blossom decor strung up throughout their outdoor dining atrium which added a warm and inviting ambience. The food was overall great; a bit of hits and misses. I ordered the beef pie which was pretty so-so but I tasted my partners 300g porterhouse dish and it was delectable. The 1.4kg steak dish is a bit of a gamble as you will either get little meat with a lot of fat or lots of meat with little fat. A great portion of the 1.4kg is really just the bone so I would probably only order for the novelty of it. Overall a pretty positive dining experience.

Attended the Drag Queen bottomless-cocktail brunch. Venue was nicely decorated. Fast and friendly service. Wagyu Steak Sandwich was tasty and fairly sized and Hotcakes were very large. However quite limited menu and cocktails were quite weak (unless you prefer that). Drag Queens were entertaining, but left you wanting more as only 3 songs performed (lip-synced). In hindsight, it's worth what you pay for and I probably went in with very high expectations.

Four of us came to The Smith in Prahran on a Saturday night for dinner. We ordered two of the beer battered fish and chips and two of the chicken parma's, as well as drinks. My watermelon mocktail was very sweet and delicious. The fish was quite moist, but tasted very nice and the serving sizes were very generous - basically equivalent to that of a pub meal, only the restaurant was much more aesthetic and classy. I thought the interior decor was very cool; I particularly loved the Japanese cherry blossoms. If you want to enjoy a standard pub meal but have it in a really nice venue, The Smith is the place to go!

The Smith has long been a great gastropub with a great family friendly vibe, but the current Japanese sakura theme has made it a must visit instagrammable location! Loved the Hello Kitty sour cocktail and delicious steaks, although my favourite is probably their bone marrow pie!

We went to drag brunch and had an amazing experience. The food, drinks and entertainment were all equally amazing! The service from both Izzy and Lucy were both stand out and incredible x

Fantastic venue. Great food. Great staff. It’s a wonderful environment to hang out in.
