The Smith Prahran

Atmosphere was great, a real buzz and good vibe with the singers for the soulful brunch. Beautiful venue with the atrium space. We did the soulful bottomless brunch which was great value for money. Unfortunately we were left with a sour taste in our mouth when we were very rudely pushed out along with other tables just before 4pm. There was no option to hang around at the venue for drinks or food, we were literally pushed out the door to the street along with a few other groups of unhappy patrons. I understand the space needed to be used for the next bookings but other brunch places I’ve been to have happily accommodated us at another table for us to stay longer at the venue.

Drag brunch is super fun and high energy, food was good too. Our server, Alessi, took such good care of us so we’ll be back again!

Very dissatisfied with my experience at The Smith. Went in for a friends birthday, ordered a wide range of meals and all were upset with the taste. The food tastes like your local cheap pub food, yet at The Smith you will pay double for. Considering its popular location and absolutely beautiful set up of the venue the food is out of touch. Only the desserts tasted adequate enough for the place. The staff was also a let down. The waitress had no desire to serve, and every question was an inconvenience to her, as shown by facial expressions and rude tone. Very sad that the restaurant has left a foul taste in all our mouths, as we went in with high hopes with how beautiful the place is. The ordering process is also done by a QR code, which is fine although before you press to pay and set the order it asks if you’d like to place a tip. The issue with this is what am I tipping for? There has been no service by this point….. am I tipping for escorting me to the table? Sadly, due to the shocking food and service we will not be returning back again.

Our waitress was amazing! Loved the attentiveness of Issy! We had a lot of drinks, we didn’t have to worry about waiting for drinks, Issy kept them coming! We had an absolute blast at The Smith Drag lunch. So much fun, Such a great experience & such beautiful queens! Highly recommend The Smith Drag Lunch!
