The Mez Club

Had the most lovely first time experience at the mez, Valentino our waiter provided the best service. Fabulous cocktails too! Will definitely be returning :-)

Our last night in Byron Bay was spent at the Mez Club eating a variety of their shared plates. There were a lot of dishes on the menu that we wanted to try, but we eventually settled on six. My favourite was the hasselback potatoes which were crispy and tasty! The mushrooms were also a stand-out. The food arrived promptly and we were served by the lovely Fiona who took great care of us. A definite place to visit for a meal (and cocktails) when in Byron Bay.

Went there for lunch with 8 people and had a large selection of the food. Everything was as expected and cocktails were very good. Not the best tapas food I have had but certainly very good and well worth the visit if you are in Byron and looking for something different. Restaurant decor is very nice and is a great place to watch the world go by. Highly recommended.

Not sure what the fuss was about. Came here with another family. We were seated upstairs where there was no air con with a temp of at least 38c at 7:30pm. If that wasn’t enough to cope with, there was no consideration for kids. Being a family friendly destination I would have thought this should be a consideration. The food overall was good for adults, service was just ok. Toilet amenities are well below average. Overall experience was 4/10

Best restaurant in Byron Bay! I will definitely be back. The food was impeccable, wait staff wonderful and attentive, ambience perfect and cocktails to die for. Make sure you order the burrata and kiwi spritz!

Had a great afternoon today, Fiona was fantastic and her recommendations were top notch.

Serving size was small, waiting staff were okay, not amazing. Food was really tasty. Recommend beetroot salad and halloumi. Skip chefs menu if you're hungry.

Beautiful location, sensational vibes in the heart of Byron! we were very hungry and we ordered lots of food 😊 Alberto looked after us and he was amazing!! But most important thing, the food was spot on!!! The kingfish ceviche was our favourite dish, but It was hard to pick a favourite! They were all so yummy!

The service & food from the mez club are fantastic. We Will definitely return when we are in Byron next.

Overall we really enjoyed our dinner here! The food was delicious and very flavourful - great share plates. They also had a live DJ playing disco music so it was definitely a fun atmosphere with a few cocktails and we loved the vibe. The only critic I have is that I booked this reservation months in advance and was a bit disappointed to be seated at a high bar table upstairs that just seemed out of place since the rest of the tables were lower. I’m a short gal so my legs don’t agree with high table tops when I can’t touch my feet to to stool :) It would have been fine if we were just having drinks or nibbles but it would have been extremely hard to enjoy a proper dinner at that table. Our waiter wasn’t helpful when we asked to change tables but luckily my boyfriend spoke to the hostess and she was super nice about it and was able to move us despite our waiter saying no. We made sure to thank her at the end of the night and we ended up having a wonderful time! But the restaurant should probably just change that table or only seat people there who are just having drinks because it would have totally killed the whole experience and I wouldn’t have enjoyed the food as much had we not been able to move. But overall, would definitely recommend for the great vibes and food!! :) All the best.
