15 Church St 7209, Ross
Favourite place to visit on every trip to Hobart. Love driving through Richmond to experience the tree-lined street, convict built buildings and cottages. Ah, the serenity. And then back to the highway for the rest of the trip.
Superb local bakery. Traditional Eccles cakes and brilliant baked custard tart. You won't regret a cake an coffee here.
The vanilla slices are good but I wouldn't say they're the best in the world. Service wasn't great when we were there... maybe an off day?
Old world charm, reliably great coffee, tempting vanilla slices. Great to see they have a couple of gluten free options. The gf cheese and asparagus quiche was nice.
Great vanilla slice. The pasty on the pies was different than other bakeries. It still tasted good. Worth a visit.
The food is delicious! A couple of good gluten free recipe options, but couldn’t guarantee safe for coeliac diet. Limited seating inside, so much nicer to either sit in the garden outside or takeaway for a picnic if weather allows.
Absolutely amazing flaky scallop pie, hearty tomato soup and a delicious vanilla slice. It is a hidden gem!!
Amazing vanilla slice. Pie crust was beautifully flaky.
Close for winter break... Seriously unprofessional in this day and age, winter school holidays and a lack of international travel has made Tassie a winter holiday hotspot and missing out on such a experience is a total crime! Owners are seriously out of touch. If they want to take a break, do so, but contribute to the economy and provide some much needed jobs while you're away.
I had a cornish pastie with delicious side salad and cappuccino. Nice day out, they have a good sunny outside garden area with amenities
