Dining at Rsstaurant Hubert is like stepping into a time warp. The underground French Restaurant has a serious vibe. It actually feels like France, but France from yonder. The new chef is cooking more classic French food and it’s good. Tarte tartin of root veg is delicious. Snails are still delicious. Beef is delicious. Soon all the avant-guard signature dishes will be gone, some are not working now, lost in translation. I can’t wait for Alexis Besseau to find his rhythm as this joint is critical on the Sydney dining landscape

Always a pleasure coming here. Such a great restaurant with amazing food and good vibes. Definitely go when they have live jazz music!

Hands down my favourite restaurant in Sydney! We normally walk in and sit at the bar as it has all the dishes we love from the restaurant. We always order the duck parfait, beef tartare and steak frites. The whiskey apple is also a great drink!

Second time here and just as good as the first. Service is quick and efficient and the food is fresh and lovely. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for somewhere special. The atmosphere is romantic and relaxed at the same time and the staff are really lovely. Definitely recommend.

We went to the Bar during happy hour (5-6 PM) and had Negroni, wines and some food. Really good value, burger was really good and we love the ambience especially with the live Jazz music. Would love to come back again and try the restaurant. Highly recommended! 👍

A favorite of mine for 3 reasons: 1) Live Jazz - Sydney has a shortage of high end live music venues that serve exceptional food. 2) Service - Shout out to Andy W. and his team! 3) Crème Caramel - Best in town! Make a night out of Hubert, you won't be disappointed!

This place is living to its reputation, a must-visit restaurant but overpriced. The location is amazing and takes you to whatever Americans think a French bistro is. The service is top notch and you'll definitely be well taken care of. The food, however, is disappointing and represents all the things about the pretentious French cuisine of the Sydney French restaurant scene - it's average but somehow comes with the "French tax" price tag. The dishes come so quickly that it's obvious that they were waiting in the oven for a few hours already. The French fries were frozen (even still on the inside), quite disappointing when there are only 6 side dishes and that they are not cheap. Probably won't come back, but glad I got to see what the fuss is all about.

We had a lovely dinner here for Jazz January. The music was spot on, and the food - as always - was out of this world. This place is not cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for - the food and drinks are probably some of the best you will get in Sydney, and the service is just that right amount of familiar and professional. The restaurant itself feels like you're in Paris in the 1930's. We did not want to leave!

Hubert did not disappoint. Everything was impeccably presented and tasted divine! Came back for my birthday as last time we were seated in the bar section with a limited menu. Service was excellent with drinks being provided promptly, more bread served to allow us to enjoy the duck parfait and dip into the xo sauce with the escargot (probably not the usual thing to do but it just seemed wasteful not to!) And plates removed in a timely manner. The beef tartare and yellowfin tuna tartare was exquisite. So fresh and light. Then came the 1kg wagyu T-bone - cooked and flavoured to perfection - went well with the salad and roasted garlic. We did not manage to finish it but it was worth taking home and devouring the next day! 🤤 last but not least the madeleines.. a new favourite of mine such that I've gone home to learn how to make these beauties! Thank you for such a lovely dinner experience. Will sure to be back!
